Harry Belafonte, Chump of the week
Good day all. there’s been a lot of really bad news going on. I may speak about that later on. Now, I’m going to introduce you to the Chump of the Week. This week, it’s Harry Belafonte.
Harry Belafonte1 was once a singer of some note about 100 years ago. He has since become a complete idiot. He used to have great ideals, opposing Apartheid in South Africa, the American Civil rights movement, good things we can all agree on. However, he has grown very close to people who, to put it bluntly, want the United States destroyed. I don’t know if he is a card carrying communist, (Information I see is that he never joined the party), but he has certainly backed most of the communist regimes over the years.
He has opposed American foreign policy over the decades supporting Fidel Castro, the Nuclear Freeze movement, Hugo Chavez and opposition to the Bush Administration’s War on Terror and invasion of Iraq. It’s pretty safe to say that Banana man2) Belafonte, in typical moonbat manner, never met a tyrant he didn’t like.
Well this week he topped all that with this comment:
“That there should be this lingering infestation of really corrupt people who sit trying to dismantle the wishes of the people, the mandate that has been given to Barack Obama, and I don’t know what more they want,” he said. “The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a third world dictator and just put all these guys in jail.”
Yup, Mr. Civil Rights showed his true colors, and they are RED3, and I don’t mean Red State4. Fox News has some details Harry’s recent episode of verbal diarrhea:
What do you do when it has been a while since you made headlines? If you are Harry Belafonte, apparently you say the president should jail Republicans.
The American singer-songwriter, once considered the “Kind of Calypso,” this week ignited outrage – and plenty of eye rolls – after speaking with MSNBC’s Al Sharpton and saying President Obama should rule like a third-world dictator and toss his GOP opponents behind bars.
Belafonte went on to claim that Republicans are “violating the American desire” by working to keep government limited, taxes low and the country solvent. Sharpton5 was clearly amused by the suggestion – and could be heard laughing in the background.
And of course that paragon of virtue6, Al Sharpton would find this amusing and a great idea. He’s always been a corrupt racist scumbag. Hey Al! You paid off that lawsuit you lost yet? Of course, not everyone thinks Harry was amusing with his most recent comments.
“Harry Belafonte has a long career as singer, actor, civil rights crusader, and now, professional lefty nutball. He no longer is content to just abuse conservatives, now he wants to envision Obama as a third-world dictator and have his opponents jailed,” Dan Gainor, VP of Business & Culture at the Media Research Institute, told FOX411’s Pop Tarts column.
Lefty nutball. I like that. It’s almost as good as Barking Moonbat.
Belafonte’s latest remarks have also drawn condemnation across the Twitterverse, including from former GOP Presidential hopeful, Herman Cain, who tweeted: “What’s up with these crazy liberals?”
“Every time Harry Belafonte is given a chance to speak, we are granted the opportunity to laugh at his incompetence,” tweeted one, while another called him a “total wackjob.” Another observed: “Don’t know what’s more disturbing, Harry Belafonte’s statement or that @MSNBC thinks he’s worth talking to.”
I wonder if it isn’t time to have Banana Boat Harry declared mentally incompetent? I certainly wouldn’t trust him behind the wheel of a car….or a bicycle with training wheels.
Some wonder why the mainstream media continues to provide a platform for Belafonte.
“In recent years, Belafonte has said that President George W. Bush as ‘the greatest terrorist in the world’ was ‘no better’ than Osama bin Laden,” Gainor added. “He has claimed the Tea Parties were ‘at the vanguard’ of ‘the greatest threat of all is the undermining of our Constitution.’ The equally bizarre hosts of MSNBC keep giving Belafonte a platform because they want to give such bizarre comments credibility. It’s an embarrassment to a once-great man to have fallen so far.”
I beg to differ, It isn’t bizarre at all that MSNBC keeps giving this butthead a forum to spew his anti-American hate. He fits right in over there in Moonbat Central. Poor Harry. He was once a great singer and humanitarian. Now, all he’s good for these days is comic relief for Chris Matthews. So, this week, Harry Belafonte has earned Anger Central’s award of “Chump of the Week! Why don’t stop by the offices Harry and come collect your award? This week, we all chipped in for a bunch of bananas, just for you.
