The Iowa Caucus
Good evening. The Iowa Caucus is now underway. As of this posting, Ron Paul is leading at 33.67% followed by Rick Santorum at 20.89%. Third Place is Mittens Obomney, (Where he has pretty much been stuck since he started this run), with Gingrich and Perry bringing up the rear. All the rest are several feet below the surface of the water and looking for a lifeline.
I have no intention of staying up all night monitoring this. I have to work in the morning so I’ll check the results then. Frankly I won’t be surprised if the crank, better known as Ron Paul wins. He’s always had a fanatical and fairly well organized troupe of trained chimpanzees who will do whatever their god instructs them to do.
Since a caucus is not a secret ballot and required people to go to small meetings, it does favor the best organized. What surprises me is that Mittens isn’t doing better. I will admit it is a pleasant surprise. I’ll be interested in who the second and third place winners are. I suspect Perry will be headed back to Texas tomorrow. Gingrich? I think he’s stay in a while longer depending on how well he does tonight.
Michelle Bachman is like last Thanksgivings turkey. She’s done. It’s a pity too, she does represent a lot of what I want. I haven’t followed Santorum at all, and was not to sure of Perry.
I’m still hoping for a brokered convention and a draft Palin movement.
Oh well, off to watch NCIS.
That is all.
