Obama’s gutsy call

The Gutsy Memo

Wasn’t all that gutsy. For the past year, President Barack Hussein Obama has been crowing about making the “Gutsy Call” to get Osama Bin Laden. Well, new information has come out indicating that the puppyeater in chief wasn’t all that gutsy after all.

According to a story on Breitbart.com, a CIA memo revealed that Admiral William H. McRaven is the one who controlled bin Laden mission, not President ScoaMF. According to Ben Shapiro writing for Breitbart:

Today, Time magazine got hold of a memo written by then-CIA head Leon Panetta after he received orders from Barack Obama’s team to greenlight the bin Laden mission. Here’s the text, which summarized the situation:

Received phone call from Tom Donilon who stated that the President made a decision with regard to AC1 [Abbottabad Compound 1]. The decision is to proceed with the assault.

The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out. Those instructions were conveyed to Admiral McRaven at approximately 10:45 am.

This is a “Gutsy call?” It sounds more like some weasel worded cover my ass memo a craven coward would write. Oh wait, we’re talking about someone he avoids making any major decision not involved in how to wok a dog.

The memo puts all control in the hands of Admiral McRaven – the “timing, operational decision making and control” are all up to McRaven. So the notion that Obama and his team were walking through every stage of the operation is incorrect. The hero here was McRaven, not Obama. And had the mission gone wrong, McRaven surely would have been thrown under the bus.

This has been the standard operating procedure for this miserable excuse for an American leader since he took the oath of office in 2008. Take credit for anything that goes right and blame anything that goes wrong on someone else.

According to another article at Investors Business Daily:

The Panetta memo, rather than presenting a profile in courage, says “approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the president.” This left enough wiggle room to blame the operation planners and controllers if the raid had gone as wrong as President Jimmy Carter’s famous failure to rescue American hostages held by Iran. This memo left room for the blame for another “Blackhawk Down1” snafu to be blamed on anyone and everyone but President Obama.

If you recall, there was some talk shortly after ObL became one with fish intestines, there was some question on whether bin Laden was to be captured or killed on sight. The Attorney General and prize winning moron, Eric Holder apparently wanted the Pakistaini’s to arrest bin Laden and ship him to New York so he could botch the prosecution.

There was also questions regarding who actually issued the orders to go after ObL. The rumors were that the ScoaMF had basically handed out a wishy washy order. The rumor was that Panetta and Secretary of State Clinton used a loophole in the order to terminate ObL on sight instead of bringing him back alive or asking the Pakistani’s to warn him and sneak him to a new hideout arrest him. Now it appears that it wasn’t Panetta or Clinton, but Admiral McRaven who issued the orders. The order was poorly written and confusing.

Again from Breitbart:

Finally, the memo is unclear on just what the mission is. Was it to capture Bin Laden or to kill him? The White House itself was unable to decide what the mission was in the hours after the Bin Laden kill, and actually switched its language. The memo shows why: McRaven was instructed to “get” Bin Laden, whatever that meant.

President Obama made the right call to give the green light to the mission. But he did it in a way that he could shift the blame if things went wrong. Typical Obama. And typical of him to claim full credit for it, when he didn’t do anything but give a vague nod, while putting his top military officials at risk of taking the hit in case of a bad turn.

This sounds an awful lot like what happened early on in the ScoaMF’s administration when Somali pirates boarded an American freighter. If I recall correctly, Obama was trying to ignore the problem of an American ship’s captain being held on a life boat by Somali pirates. He issued some wishy washy orders to the Navy commander on the scene and promptly hopes that the whole issue would be forgotten. The commander on the scene took the orders, which had more holes in it then a ton of Swiss cheese and ran with it. First chance he got, he ordered the navy’s Seals to shoot the pirates and rescue the captain. Publicly, Obama was taking the credit for the operation, but privately he and the other clowns in his misadministration were trying to figure out a way to keelhaul the commander on the scene. Of course all this leaked out and Obama basically shut up and started playing to the cameras showing how decisive he was. Of course everyone knew he was lying through his teeth about issuing the shoot order. Just like this time apparently.

Obama is a dangerous, cowardly incompetent. He needs to be removed from office, preferably sooner than November, (Which would require Congress do its job an impeach him), but if we have to wait until then, then we will.

Remember in November!

Joe Biden has been hyping the fact that Obama “got bin Laden” (even though Biden opposed the raid) in every campaign speech. There have been songs, press releases, websites all devoted to Obama’s “heroic” actions (aka: “gutsy call”).
