Review: Come and Take Them

Good day, it has been a while since I did a review and I just completed the new Tom Kratmannovel Come and Take Them. This is the 5^th book in the Carrera series and as usual, it is excellent.

The novel takes place on a fictional world some 500 years from now. The “hero” in the novel, Carrera has built a large military force in the nation of Balboa. This is a thinly disguised future version of Panama, right down to the canal. The story picks up after the third novel in the series, “The Lotus Eaters” with Carrera, the Legion and the nation of Balboa preparing for an invasion from the Tauran Union. (The future version of the European Union and just as insipid and moronic)

 

The book spends a great deal of time tying a number of threads together from several other novels in the series as well as going into the planning and preparations by Balboa and the TU. As expected, there is an invasion. I am not going into the details of what happens, or even who wins. You will need to buy the book to find out. I understand that the 6^th book in the series is already underway, and I am impatiently awaiting it’s arrival.

Col. Kratman, (US Army Retired), only gets better with each new book he writes. Buy this book. In fact, buy all of Mr. Kratman’s books. Leave copies in places that Transnational Liberal Progressives will find. Like any good booby trap, they might pick it up and start reading. They will either begin to understand that there way always leads to failure, or their heads will explode all over the walls from the massive hike in blood pressure when they get angry. Unless they have been bathing in Gamma Rays, I doubt they will get very big and turn green.
