Good day all. Once again, the United Nations thinks they should rule the world. They are now calling for shutting down any new or expanded fossil fuel production.
Of course, they have a willing servant in Mush for Brains Biden and his Maladministration. However, he is getting a lot of push back from the states. Somehow I don’t think following the diktats of the United Nations Kleptocracy is in the cards for states like Texas. Here are the details from Fox News:
The United Nations (U.N.) published its latest climate change report Monday, which doubled down on global warming-related risks and which the intergovernmental organization dubbed a “survival guide for humanity.”
The synthesis report, assembled by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), represents the U.N.’s latest attempt to sound the alarm on the risks posed by climate change and not taking aggressive actions to halt global warming. According to the document, “unsustainable energy and land use” has caused the world to warm 1.1 degrees Celsius above pre-industrial levels, close to the 1.5-degree emergency threshold.
“The rate of temperature rise in the last half-century is the highest in 2,000 years,” U.N. Secretary-General António Guterres said in a video message Monday. “Concentrations of carbon dioxide are at their highest in at least 2 million years. The climate time bomb is ticking. But today’s IPCC report is a how-to guide to defuse the climate time bomb. It is a survival guide for humanity.”
What a load of crap. The Earth is currently between ice ages. Of course the planet is warming up a bit. However, much to the annoyance of the Church of Global Warming and Climate Change, the earth has been a lot warmer than it is currently. There was also a lot more CO2 in the atmosphere, Care to guess what the affect was on life? That’s when the dinosaurs were growing big enough to eat a bus.
“As it shows, the 1.5-degree limit is achievable. But it will take a quantum leap in climate action,” he continued. “This report is a clarion call to massively fast-track climate efforts by every country and every sector and on every time frame. In short, our world needs climate action on all fronts, everything, everywhere, all at once.”
Which means we must surrender all our rights and sovereignty to the elites of the United Nations. Then we must live in mud huts and eat bugs. Of course, the United Nations bureaucrats and leaders must have better living conditions and food then the hoi polloi in order to properly consider how best to generate reports and spend money.
The article goes on to list the usual bovine droppings the United Nations is noted for issuing to the drooling liberal masses. They also called for more spending on climate financing. Now why the climate needs financing, I have no idea. I always assumed it was open source and had been since about 4 billion years ago with “Climate v0.01 Alpha” was released.
During the most recent U.N. climate conference in November, nations committed to billions of dollars worth of climate financing for developing countries and rallied to call on private investors to boost climate financing.
Oh sure! It’s not like it’s coming out of THEIR pockets now, is it?
“Every country must be part of the solution,” Guterres added Monday. “Demanding others move first only ensures humanity comes last. The ‘Acceleration Agenda’ calls for a number of other actions. Specifically, no new coal and the phasing out of coal by 2030 in OECD countries and 2040 in all other countries; ending all international public and private funding of coal.”
“Ceasing all licensing or funding of new oil and gas – consistent with the findings of the International Energy Agency,” he continued. “Stopping any expansion of existing oil and gas reserves; shifting subsidies from fossil fuels to a just energy transition; establishing a global phasedown of existing oil and gas production compatible with the 2050 global net-zero target.”
And replace it with what? Windmills and unicorn farts? The simple fact of the matter is, fossil fuels are going to be here for a long time unless there is a major, or more likely, a number of major breakthroughs in physics, materials engineering and energy generation systems. Right now, other then fossil fuels, the most efficient energy production system is nuclear fission power plants.
Of course, these morons don’t want to see any of those built and the ones already running, shut down and dismantled. I’m not opposed to that IF we have something better come along, and I don’t see anything now available. Nuclear Fusion power has been just 10 years away for a good 60 years. What these elitist thugs want is everyone living in caves, eating bugs. It’s long past time to make the United Nations go away.

I’ll believe that this is only one more UN scam when the UN calls for a massive invasion of China for building hundreds of new brown coal (very dirty burning) power plants.
