Things are starting to look bad for the January 6th Committee members

Good day all. Since the Republicans took control of the House of Representatives, they have been reviewing the records of the January 6th committee that was “Investigating” what happened during the J6 protests. Well they would be reviewing the records if they hadn’t been destroyed.

Since the GOP takeover and the Loudermilk oversight committee starting digging into things, it’s become apparent that the J6 committee was set up for one purpose. To “Get Trump!” and to maintain the fiction that the protests were an insurrection. In order to do this, a great deal of exculpatory evidence was either hidden, lost or flat out destroyed by the committee members. Now the House is considering whether or not criminal charges should be levied against the J6 committee members. Here are the details from the Daily Fetched:

House Oversight Committee chairman Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-GA) said the January 6 Committee members may be referred to the DOJ for criminal prosecution after reports they hid and destroyed crucial evidence.

As we highlighted earlier, Former Rep. Liz Cheney and the January 6 Committee member hid evidence that exonerated former President Donald Trump after he called for 10,000 National Guard troops to be deployed at the U.S. Capitol Building.

I wrote up a post about Cheney’s lies a week or so ago.I made the comment that I wanted to see Cheney dragged back before the oversight committee and put under oath. Having her indicted, perp walked and put on trial works for me. Now the reason for the idea that criminal charges should be brought comes from former Speaker of the House, Kevin “Charlie” McCarthy telling the committee to preserve all records.

The January 6 committee members were warned to reserve all of the evidence by then-incoming Speaker of the House Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA).

We now know that they didn’t. Terabytes of data was first encrypted and then deleted. Lourdermilk’s oversight committee was able to restore a lot of the data and that’s when they found it had been encrypted. There is only one reason for this. To make it difficult to impossible to recover the evidence in those encrypted files.

Loudermilk told JusttheNews that prosecution may be on the cards.

Switching over to the Just The News story:

Rep. Barry Loudermilk, R-Ga,, the chairman of the House Administration Oversight Subcommittee, told Just the News he is frustrated that videotapes of interviews, transcripts and other evidence that Congress gathered under the prior Jan. 6 inquiry run by Democrats was deleted, destroyed, moved to other federal agencies or locked behind passwords that have not been recovered, and he believes some form of accountability is warranted.

As far as holding people accountable, yes, they should be,” Loudermilk said during an interview with Just the News, No Noise television show. “But I think that’s going to be a little ways down the road, because there is so much more information that we need to get. And we need to build not only this, to get the truth out to the American people, but see just how big this case potentially is for obstructing.”

Loudermilk also took a shot at Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., the former chairman of the Jan 6 Select Committee, saying he believes Thompson left control of decisions of the committee to his former Republican vice chairwoman, ex-Rep. Liz Cheney.

There’s still documents that we need to get hold off. We still don’t have passwords for the encrypted documents,” Loudermilk said. “It’s amazing that you know, when I asked the former Chairman Bennie Thompson, ‘all I want you to do is give me the passwords.’ He said, ‘I don’t even know what you’re talking about.’

Loudmilk responded that it’s entirely possible that Thompson didn’t know the files were encrypted. He basically gave control of the committee to Liz Cheney. Some of the information that’s come out recently was that she was actively working to prevent the 10,000 National Guard troops that President Trump offered to add in security from actually being deployed. If anyone should be charged, tried and convicted, it’s her…And Pelosi.

Lawmakers and congressional staff enjoy significant immunity from punishment, at least in criminal court, for their official actions in Congress under the Constitution’s separation of powers.

Not to worry. The Democrats, in their usual short shortsightedness, are trying to end any form of Presidential Immunity in order to “Get Trump!” They aren’t thinking that Sh** runs downhill, and if they get what they want, then a large amount of that immunity goes bye bye. Add to this that any immunity granted to Congress doesn’t include actual criminal actions. Seditious Conspiracy is a criminal activity as is intentional destruction of records.

Loudermilk said he will decide on a possible course for seeking accountability after his subcommittee resolves access to the evidence that is still missing and determines responsibility. He said options range from a criminal referral to DOJ for obstruction to censure by Congress or a referral to the House Ethics Committee for investigation.

Those are options. We also have to look at what other options are there. There’s also censure-ship, ethics, obviously, but also consider there are members of that Select Committee who are no longer members of Congress. So they may fall under a different scenario,” he said.

I think I hear the engines on the Democrat bus warming up and the tires being checked for proper inflation. To my knowledge, the only people who were on that committee who have left congress are Cheney and Adam Kinzinger. For the Democrats, they are doubly expendable. Out of office and RINO Republicans.

So we do have the tools of members of Congress, but also, active members of Congress have certain protections. So we’ll have to work on that. Because as you talked about earlier, we’re in uncharted territory right now. And so we’re going to have to work through this,” he added.

Representative Loudermilk is correct. This is uncharted territory. This wasn’t a committee that had any intention of finding the truth. It was all about burying it and punishing both President Trump and anyone who supports him. I can’t recall any committee like this in the past that intentionally destroyed records and evidence, including the old House Un-American Activities Committee.

Loudermilk’s comments come just two days after his panel released an explosive interim report of findings – which was publicly touted by House Speaker Mike Johnson.

That report detailed how exculpatory evidence, along with evidence showing how a “Star” witnesses lied under oath about what happened that day. One of these was testimony by Cassidy Hutchinson that President Trump demanded to be taken to the Capitol and when the Secret Service refused, tried to grab the wheel.

For the first time, Loudermilk’s report released information from the Secret Service driver who took Trump to his Jan. 6, 2021, speech on the Ellipse and back to the White House. The driver, who wasn’t identified by name, directly contradicted Hutchinson’s story about Trump trying to grab the wheel of the presidential SUV and take it to the Capitol, the report said.

The driver testified that he specifically refuted the version of events as recounted by Hutchinson,” the report states. “The driver of the SUV testified that he ‘did not see him reach [redacted]. [President Trump] never grabbed the steering wheel. I didn’t see him, you know, lunge to try to get into the front seat at all.’”

This information later came out through other channels, but was buried by Liz Cheney and the J6 Committee. Cheney personally was involved in the testimony from the driver and was fully aware of the complete contradiction to the testimony of her “Star Witness, Hutchinson. So the committee buried it.

Thompson, D-Miss., the chairman of the Democrat J6 committee, acknowledged his committee considered the Secret Service driver’s testimony and that its emergence now from Republicans was a distraction.

“Loudermilk is merely trying to deflect from Donald Trump’s responsibility for the violence of January 6 and his own refusal to answer the select committee’s questions,” Thompson said.

I think Thompson is beginning to understand the actual trouble he and the rest of that phony committee are in. They actively hid or destroyed anything that went against their predetermined narrative that the protest was an insurrection meant to overthrow the government. It’s now looking more like the actual insurrection was from the Democrats and the Establishment, Never Trump Republicans.

I have no idea what legal actions can be taken against the members of the January 6th committee. I know that any attempt to get the Garland DoJ to actually do anything is a complete waste of time. We may need to wait until next year when, if polls are accurate and the levels of fraud by the Democrats can be contained, President Trump returns to office. In any case, as things stand now, the January 6th committee has been completely discredited.
