And the Republican Vice Presidential nominee is…

Representative Paul Ryan. (And the crowd goes wild!) Governor Mittens Romney has announced his running mate and the future Vice-President of the United States, (after the crushing defeat of Barack Hussein Obama), and has selected Paul Ryan.

There will be millions of blog entries all around the web today, and I feel that I too must add to the list. Like everyone else, I watched with a great deal of trepidation as one establishment RINO after the other was floated for the VP nomination. Two names that I liked were Governor Bobby Jindal ((Bobby Jindal)) of Louisiana and Representative Paul Ryan. I was, to put it bluntly, terrified that Romney would choose another milquetoast RINO as his running mate. Ryan is anything but a milquetoast. He has been confronting Obama on budgetary matters for several years and took all of 6 minutes to destroy the financial premise of Obamacare.

Ryan is an almost perfect choice. He understands the financial mess the Democrats have made of things and unlike the buffoon currently holding the office of Vice-President, is very very smart and quick on his feet. When the time comes for the VP debates, he will utterly destroy Biden, considered the dumbest VP in a century. It will be like watching a professional firefighter putting out a candle with a 3” hose wide open.

Many people wanted Ryan to be in the Romney Administration, probably as Secretary of the Treasury. (Unlike the current Secretary, Ryan does pay his taxes) As the VP, he can and probably will be handling the budgetary and regulatory issues for Romney. (Not unlike how Cheney handled parts of the War on Terror that Obama is working to lose)

There were many bad choices Romney could have made. The fiery governor of New Jersey, Chris Christy would definitely have livened things up, but Christy is only in his first term as governor and has been showing that he is an Establishment RINO. (He believes in gun control among other problems) Yes, he has gone after the Unions and has been trying to fix the catastrophic financial mess that the previous governor created, but I don’t see him as either VP or president in the foreseeable future.

Others who were named were former governor Tim Pawlenty who, while a very competent governor, was widely regarded as “Who?” Governor Jindal, (Who is NOT a RINO), was a serious candidate, however he is just going into his second term as governor and probably wasn’t that interested. There were a number of others, each more RINOish then the last. It looks like someone figured out that Romney has a serious credibility problem with the conservative base, and Paul Ryan fixes that. It helps that Ryan is also very competent and unlike the current administration, doesn’t make up things out of thin air.

Paul Ryan is an excellent choice and should be a benefit to both the campaign and the Romney Administration. He knows what the problems are and what needs to be done to fix them. I suspect there will be those who will compare him to Governor Sarah Palin and say he doesn’t have the experience or qualifications to be president. Hello? He isn’t running for President and neither was Sarah Palin. In fact, Palin is the ONLY reason McStupid didn’t lose by 20 point to the SCoaMF. People were voting for her, not the Old Guy. In this case, I think we will have a real team here to crush Der Fubar in November and destroy the Progressives once and for all.
