I saw this one a few days ago but haven\u2019t had time to write about it. As the headline reads, some moron with a degree thinks Josef Stalin was maligned and didn\u2019t ordered the deaths of millions of people.<\/p>\n

The story, as you might expect, received no coverage from the Obama Steno Pool. I found it on Right Wing News<\/a> written by Gabriella Hoffman.<\/p>\n

A professor at a public university recently denied Soviet Union Leader Joseph Stalin was responsible for the murder of millions, saying he has \u201cyet to find one crime \u2013 one crime that Stalin committed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI know they say he killed 20, 30, 40 million people,\u201d continued Grover Furr, a professor in Medieval English at Montclair State University.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s bullshit.\u201d<\/p>\n

Professor Grover Furr of Montclair State University ((Montclair State University<\/a>)) said he has yet to find \u201cone crime that Stalin committed.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Obviously, Grover Furr didn\u2019t look very hard, or at all. Even the Russians admit that Stalin butchered millions of people during his reign, far more than Hitler\u2019s Nazi\u2019s did during the invasion of the Soviet Union in 1941. Now what brought on this idiotic statement?<\/p>\n

Furr made the comments at a campus debate featuring three individuals supposedly representing conservative, liberal, and libertarian political views.<\/p>\n

Following the debate, a student pressed Furr on his comments reminding the professor that most historians believe \u201c100 to 150 million people [were] killed by communist regimes.\u201d<\/p>\n

The professor, however, doubled down on his original comment.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat you said is bullshit,\u201d said Furr. \u201cIt\u2019s wrong. It\u2019s a lie.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe history of the Soviet Union is the most falsified,\u201d he added.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Only the most die hard Stalinist believes this drivel ((Stalinism<\/a>)). Here is the video of this guy, so you can see for yourself what he said.<\/p>\n

The consensus among most historians whether liberal or conservative, is that Stalin was responsible for the persecution and execution of millions in the Soviet Union. A Soviet weekly newspaper<\/a> put the total dead as a result of Stalin\u2019s repressions at about 40 million people.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Even the Nazi\u2019s only managed to kill between 12 million and 20 million people from all causes. (The Holocaust, other non-Jews murdered in the camps and combat deaths) Of course, the Nazi\u2019s only had 12 years. Stalin had 30 years and the \u201cGreat Patriotic War ((Eastern Front (World War II)<\/a>))\u201d to commit his crimes. (You don\u2019t think the Nazi\u2019s killed all those people do you? They had help from Beria\u2019s ((Lavrentiy Beria<\/a>)) NKVD ((Narodnyy Komissariat Vnutrennikh Del<\/a>)))<\/p>\n

A recent book<\/a> authored by Stanford Professor of History Norman Naimark even argues that Stalin committed multiple genocides.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s a horrific case of genocide,\u201d said Naimark. \u201cIn some cases, a quota was established for the number to be executed, the number to be arrested.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I\u2019ve read that Stalin would literally read through a list of names and decide who lived, who died and who was sent to the gulag. So who is this idiot Furr anyway?<\/p>\n

Furr, who has authored several books on the topic of Marxism, also insisted that the United States has the lowest standard of living among industrialized developed countries.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This moonbat is a professor and teaches this malarkey to young skulls full of mush. I surfed around the net a bit to see what I could find out about him. I found his home page<\/a>, and it looks like something written by a 14 year old…in the 90\u2019s. The only thing missing was the BLINK tag. I wasn\u2019t able to determine if he was a tenured professor at Montclair, but it wouldn\u2019t surprise me. It\u2019s obvious that he is a Marxist and an apologizer for Stalin. This is the same mindset that says Hitler and the Nazi\u2019s didn\u2019t murder 6 million Jews as well as millions of others in the death camps.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know if this clown can be terminated from his position, (If he\u2019s tenured, forget about that happening), but he should be removed from the classroom. He is obviously unfit to teach. If he wants to write and publish his pro-Stalin propaganda, let him. I don\u2019t have to read it. This bozo is just another Ward Churchill ((Ward LeRoy Churchill<\/a>)) without the academic fraud.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s obvious he hates the United States and everything it stands for, but like most moonbats, is to much of a coward to leave and immigrate to those countries that still practice his political beliefs. I think North Korea may be the closest to pure Stalinism. He won\u2019t leave, since that would mean giving up his comfort and privileges that he gets as a member of the Academic Moonbat Brigade. Maybe, with enough pressure, he might be shamed into resigning.<\/p>\n
