Recently, the Russian news service, Pravda published an opinion piece on America and gun ownership. The piece, titled Americans never give up your guns<\/a> is stunning in one major way. Pravda used to be one of the two propaganda organs for the old Soviet Union.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Supporting the American Second Amendment? Lenin, Stalin, Khrushchev and Brezhnev and the other dead Soviet dictators are spinning in their graves. (Which would explain why the Kremlin is shaking a bit) There used to be a joke back in the days of the USSR. It went \u201cThere is no truth in Pravda and no news in Izvestia.\u201d (Pravda means Truth or Justice in Russian) So, you can see why having Pravda writing in support of American Gun Rights is rather surprising. Here are some tidbits from the article<\/a>.<\/p>\n

These days, there are few things to admire about the socialist, bankrupt and culturally degenerating USA<\/a>, but at least so far, one thing remains: the right to bear arms and use deadly force to defend one’s self and possessions.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Now, for those of you to young, to remember, in the old days this opening would have said \u201cCapitalist\u201d instead of \u201cSocialist.\u201d To continue.<\/p>\n

This will probably come as a total shock<\/a> to most of my Western readers, but at one point, Russia was one of the most heavily armed societies on earth. This was, of course, when we were free under the Tsar. Weapons, from swords and spears to pistols, rifles and shotguns were everywhere, common items. People carried them concealed, they carried them holstered. Fighting knives were a prominent part of many traditional attires and those little tubes criss crossing on the costumes of Cossacks and various Caucasian peoples? Well those are bullet holders for rifles.<\/p>\n

Various armies, such as the Poles, during the Times of Troubles, or Napoleon, or the Germans even as the Tsarist state collapsed under the weight of WW1 and Wall Street monies, found that holding Russian lands was much much harder than taking them and taking was no easy walk in the park but a blood bath all its own. In holding, one faced an extremely well armed and aggressive population Hell bent on exterminating or driving out the aggressor.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Ayup. Napoleon pretty much destroyed his army, and the Germans found out just how tough it was to invade Russia…Twice. Although, by WW2, the Communists had disarmed the peasants. Made it easier to kill them.<\/p>\n

This well armed population was what allowed the various White factions to rise up, no matter how disorganized politically and militarily they were in 1918 and wage a savage civil war against the Reds. It should be noted that many of these armies were armed peasants, villagers, farmers and merchants, protecting their own. If it had not been for Washington’s clandestine support of and for the Reds, history would have gone quite differently.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I have to defer to the author. I know we sent troops into Siberia after WW1, but I really don\u2019t know that much about what happened. However, you might want to consider who was president then. It was Woodrow Wilson. His contempt for the Constitution rivals Obama\u2019s. And like Obama, he was a progressive Democrat.<\/p>\n

Moscow fell, for example, not from a lack of weapons to defend it, but from the lying guile of the Reds. Ten thousand Reds took Moscow and were opposed only by some few hundreds of officer cadets and their instructors. Even then the battle was fierce and losses high. However, in the city alone, at that time, lived over 30,000 military officers (both active and retired), all with their own issued weapons and ammunition, plus tens of thousands of other citizens who were armed. The Soviets promised to leave them all alone if they did not intervene. They did not and for that were asked afterwards to come register themselves and their weapons: where they were promptly shot.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, Biden and Obama want us to register guns? Gee, they would never round up the gun owners and shoot them, would they? (Please feel free to allow your paranoia to run rampant)<\/p>\n

Of course being savages, murderers and liars does not mean being stupid and the Reds learned from their Civil War experience. One of the first things they did was to disarm the population. From that point, mass repression, mass arrests, mass deportations, mass murder, mass starvation were all a safe game for the powers that were. The worst they had to fear was a pitchfork in the guts or a knife in the back or the occasional hunting rifle. Not much for soldiers.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The communists murdered something like 40+ million people in the Soviet Union. No one had any way to resist. To this day, Russians still aren\u2019t allowed to own firearms. Tzar Vladimir Putin, who is former KGB, likes a disarmed population. He\u2019s already started his repression of anyone who speaks out against him.<\/p>\n

For those of us fighting for our traditional rights, the US 2nd Amendment is a rare light in an ever darkening room. Governments will use the excuse of trying to protect the people from maniacs and crime, but are in reality, it is the bureaucrats protecting their power and position. In all cases where guns are banned, gun crime continues and often increases. As for maniacs, be it nuts with cars (NYC, Chapel Hill NC), swords (Japan), knives (China) or home made bombs (everywhere), insane people strike. They throw acid (Pakistan, UK), they throw fire bombs (France), they attack. What is worse, is, that the best way to stop a maniac is not psychology or jail or “talking to them”, it is a bullet in the head, that is why they are a maniac, because they are incapable of living in reality or stopping themselves<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

You know, I\u2019m really wondering when the NRA took over Pravda. This sounds like something most Americans agree with. The best way to stop a nut who is trying to murder people is to shoot them in the head. (Although the recommend location is center mass) The Moonbat Brigade is one of the main reasons we have problems with nuts going off and killing people. In the old days, they were locked up and treated until they were no longer a threat to themselves or others, Thanks to the Moonbats, this almost never happens anymore. Yes, it was abused, but there are ways to correct that problem. Instead, we see these people on the streets pushing people in front of moving trains. Then there is the old \u201cGunfights in the streets!\u201d nonsense.<\/p>\n

The excuse that people will start shooting each other is also plain and silly. So it is our politicians saying that our society is full of incapable adolescents who can never be trusted? Then, please explain how we can trust them or the police, who themselves grew up and came from the same culture?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And there is the basic belief of the Progressive Liberal Moonbat. People can\u2019t be trusted to make their own decisions. They can\u2019t be allowed to run their own affairs. Only the educated elite can be allowed to make decisions for the masses.<\/p>\n

No it is about power and a total power over the people. There is a lot of desire to bad mouth the Tsar, particularly by the Communists<\/a>, who claim he was a tyrant, and yet under him we were armed and under the progressives disarmed. Do not be fooled by a belief that progressives, leftists hate guns. Oh, no, they do not. What they hate is guns in the hands of those who are not marching in lock step of their ideology. They hate guns in the hands of those who think for themselves and do not obey without question. They hate guns in those whom they have slated for a barrel to the back of the ear.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

BINGO!! Pravda hit the reason the Second Amendment was written. It was not about hunting, shooting holes in paper targets or repelling Indian attacks out on the frontier. It was written so the American people could remove a tyrannical government by force, if it proved necessary. The Progressive Liberal Moonbats absolutely refuse to accept this fact.<\/p>\n

\"Barking<\/a>The other day, Governor Andrew Cuomo announced he was sending a bill up to the legislature to ban a large number of guns and magazines. He said that he supported the rights of hunters. Earlier he had said that confiscation might be on the table. He, and that moronic midget, Michael Bloomberg are the exact reason that the amendment was written. They are tyrants who refuse to obey their oath to uphold the constitution of the United States, and prefer to rule by decree. Cuomo\u2019s announcement that that he would consider confiscation and forced buy backs flies in the face of the 2nd<\/sup> 4th<\/sup> and 5th<\/sup> amendments. Of course, in the last few weeks, the Progressive Liberal Democrats have all but announced that they are going to ignore the constitution. It gets in their way, is an archaic document, is no longer relevant and should just be ignored.<\/p>\n

And these idiots are so clueless, they can\u2019t see the rage that is building out there in \u201cFlyover Country.\u201d Since the Sandy Hook tragedy, and especially with Comrade Feinstein\u2019s announcement that she was going to put a bill in to reimpose a new \u201cAssault Weapons Ban,\u201d the people have been busy voting on this with their wallets. Gun and ammo sales are beyond belief.<\/p>\n

If Obama tries to impose a gun ban by Executive Fiat<\/i><\/span> Order, it will not only be ignored, but hit in the courts within hours. If they try to ram something through the congress, it will fail in the house and probably in the Senate. Finally, if Obama and the tyrannical Progressive Liberal Elite still try to enforce a gun ban and start raiding gun owners homes, then the shooting will start.<\/p>\n

Thanks to the moonbat class, the United States is on the brink of collapse and civil war. Yes, I did say civil war. As recently as 4 years ago, talk of that was way out on the fringes, where it belonged. Today? Now people who would never believe it possible are starting to think it might happen. Just listen to them speak. Before, it was \u201cIf it happened it would be, then\u201d and now it\u2019s more like \u201cWhen it happens, it will be.\u201d They are no longer thinking the hypothetical. They are thinking the possible and it frightens them. It should frighten everyone including the Obama and his minions. That it isn\u2019t even being considered by them shows just how out to lunch they are.<\/p>\n

They should start looking at blogs like the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler<\/a> as well as other sites that have a high percentage of gun owners on it. The one phrase being repeated over and over again is \u201cMolon Labe. ((Molon Labe<\/a>))\u201d \u201cCome and Take them…If you dare!\u201d (Not an exact translation of the original Greek)<\/p>\n
