As you may have noticed, since the 2010 election, the GOP is essentially in the midst of a civil war. You have what are called the “Establishment Republicans,” aka “Goldwater Republicans” or “Country Club Republicans.”

This group of Republicans, lets call them RINO’s ((Republican In Name Only)). Another phrase for them would be “Democrat Lite.” They really don’t care to much if they are in the majority since they basically agree with the idea of Big Government. They just want to have it a little bit smaller then the Democrats.

Recently, another group, (Well not that recently), came about called “Neocons ((Neoconservatism)).” The Neocons were anti-communist, pro-defense, but really not that anti-New Deal. They were very pro-business and ant-regulation, but wouldn’t refute FDR’s New Deal policies. They just wanted to trim it back a bit.

Back in 2009, when the Democrat controlled all segments of the government, they rammed through what has become known as “Obamacare.” I’m not going into that right now, since I’ve talked about it extensively in the past. (And will in the future no doubt) Also, thanks to President George W. Bush, the Republicans started acting more and more like Democrats, pushing programs down on the states and people. There was also the issue of runaway budgets, refusal to secure the borders and a willingness to kowtow to those who wanted more spending and to some extent, more taxes.

This lead to the “Rant heard round the world!” by Rick Santelli in February 2009 that lead to the creation of the Tea Party groups.

[youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zp-Jw-5Kx8k’]

Santelli’s rant exploded across the internet. Very soon after a new group started forming up. They were fiscal conservatives and believed the constitution was meant to be interpreted as it was written. In other words, a document designed to LIMIT the powers of the federal government, not the states or the people.

By and large these were conservative independents, small “L” Libertarians, and conservative Republicans. They decided that they were going to support those people running for office at all levels that supported the belief that Government was totally out of control. Since most of these people were Republicans, it was the Republican party that benefited.

However, the Establishment Republicans looked on the Tea Party Republicans in absolute horror. As the primary season progressed, one Establishment Republican after another was voted out of office and a Tea Party or Conservative Republican selected to run in the general election. People like Karl Rove actively worked against the Tea party groups and the Establishment Republicans generally wouldn’t support them.

The 2010 mid-term elections turned out to be the biggest electoral blowouts in history. The house swung massively Republican and the Senate barely stayed in the hands of the Democrats. Once the “New Kids” came to Washington, they started working to keep their promises. (Mostly) This horrified the Establishment Republicans and they started trying to suppress them. With the defeat of Mitt Romney, who should have one the 2012 election, the split between the two factions exploded into public view.

This split can be best shown between people like Paul Rand and Ted Cruz, two of the “New Kids” and John McCain, one of the “Old Farts.” Here are a few details from Fox News:

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Arizona Sen. John McCain are once again banging heads – this time over whether to arm Syrian rebels – in the latest dispute that underscores a divide in the GOP and intensifies the fight over what the party will represent in 2016 and beyond.

Paul, a first-term senator and Tea Party favorite surging in popularity, took the latest shot by opposing aid to the rebels – a key part of McCain’s plan to end the two-year Syrian civil war in which 70,000 civilians and others have been killed.

“It is very clear that any attempt to aid the Syrian rebels would be complicated and dangerous, precisely because we don’t know who these people are,” Paul wrote in an opinion piece earlier this week. “The situation in Syria is certainly dire. … Al Qaeda is making confirmed inroads into the country. No one wants to see Syria become a bastion of extremism. But like other American interventions in the past, U.S. involvement could actually help the extremists.”

Now I have my issues with Rand Paul, but he is not the nutcase his father is. Saying that, I agree with Paul and not with McCain and the RINO’s. Paul saw what has happened in Libya when His Hindmost, Emperor Obama, Caliph of the United States, decided to send in military forces after the Europeans screwed the pooch and were about to lose. (No logistics and they were running out of ammo) After Muammar Gaddafi ((Muammar Muhammad Abu Minyar al-Gaddafi)) was given a 9mm retirement package to the back of the head, RIF’s ((Radical Islamic Fundamentalists)) took over with the final result of Al Qaeda murdering a U.S. Ambassador and 3 others in Benghazi.

Obama’s blatant unconstitutional use of the Military should have triggered his removal from office. Instead, the RINO’s decided to roll over and drop their pants for Der Fubar and retroactively approve his actions. As has been noted by myself and others, it was an absolute disaster and we should never have gotten involved. Rather then learn a lesson, both Obama and his fans in the RINO wing of the Republican Party are about to double down on their stupidity.

McCain, fresh off a secret trip to Syria, on Friday upped his call for intervention — telling the Associated Press the opposition needs heavy weapons.

McCain and Paul split last month as members of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee when McCain, elected to Congress in 1983, voted in favor of the Syria Transition Act, which calls for “limited lethal and non-lethal assistance and training to vetted Syrian groups.”

That is just the most recent break between the Establishment and Tea Party wings. In the recent election, the Establishment did everything they could to both ram Romney down the rank and file’s throats and cut the Tea Party off at the knees. Romney was the perfect Establishment candidate. A mediocre governor who signed the Massachusetts version of Obamacare.

Many other Tea Party candidates won their primaries, but rather then support them, the Establishment Republicans stood back, denied them resources and assistance and in many cases, actively worked to see them fail. What should have been a crushing defeat for the Democrats instead turned into Establishment Republican debacle. The party held on to the house, but lost several seats in the senate. Their first response to this? Blame the Tea Party and Conservative/Constitutional groups for not supporting the RINO candidates.

Now the break between the two groups is expanding. Recently, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas stated that he didn’t trust the Republicans as well as the Democrats. According to Breitbart:

“Let me be clear” he said on the Senate floor the other day. “I don’t trust the Republicans, and I don’t trust the Democrats.” And why not? The last four years have given us all ample reason not to trust the Democrats, as $1 trillion deficits have become the new normal and the national debt has zoomed toward $17 trillion, all under the Obama-Pelosi-Reid team’s watch.

“Here is the dirty little secret about some of those on the right side of the aisle,” Cruz was quoted in the New York Times. “There are some who would very much like to cast a symbolic vote against raising the debt ceiling and nonetheless allow our friends on the left side of the aisle to raise the debt ceiling. That, to some Republicans, is the ideal outcome.”

Senator Cruz is correct. To many RINO Republicans have joined the Democrats to insure their own personal privileges at the expense of their oath’s of office and the nation. According to Alfred S. Regnery , who wrote the Breitbart story:

He is right about that. Senior Republican staffers in Congress tell me that members of the Republican Leadership in both houses of Congress are terrified of not raising the debt ceiling, having been convinced that calamity will ensue if we don’t. But the alternative? Senate Majority Leader McConnell would, I am told, be happy to see the debt ceiling raised with no Republican votes. Then Republicans can beat up Democrats for raising it, while knowing that the economy won’t explode as Paul Krugman has warned it would.

And if House Speaker John Boehner had to choose between a clean debt ceiling increase (one with no limits, allowing Obama to keep raising it ad nauseum) and no debt ceiling increase at all, I am told he would take the former by conservatives in the House of Representatives.

Crybaby Boehner has repeatedly shown he will roll over for Obama. He has also punished the conservative and Tea Party supporters in Congress by stripping them of their committee assignments, and in some cases their chairmanships. Boehner has even stated that he would ignore the Hastert Rule ((Majority of the Majority)). Here’s what Fox News had to say about this:

House Speaker John Boehner is being pressed by the conservative wing of the Republican Party not to allow a vote on major pieces of legislation — from gun control to immigration — without majority Republican support, after recent signals that he could be open to building a coalition with Democrats.

Boehner is a scumbag and always has been. He is a creature of Washington and only represents Washington and himself. This has made the conservative wing angry.

Tea Party favorite and second-term Rep. Tim Huelskamp is among the most recent to express concern, saying Tuesday that Boehner “assured us” that he’d seek a majority Republican coalition before proceeding on controversial bills.

“Why do we have the majority if we don’t do what the majority wants?” the Kansas Republican told FoxNews.com. “I didn’t come to Washington to give over the House to (Democratic Leader) Nancy Pelosi and moderate Republicans. This really concerns me.”

Huelskamp isn’t the only one concerned over Boehner’s to cave in to the Democrats. There were enough Republicans questioning Boehner’s commitment that there was talk of a challenge to him when the new congress convened earlier this year. Nothing came of it, but I can see why Boehner would be nervous. Back in 1997, Boehner was part of a group that tried to overthrow Newt Gingrich when he was speaker of the House ((Attempted Republican Coup: Ready, Aim, Misfire)).

Boehner managed to hold on and through simple longevity, reached the speakership when the Pelosi Court was shown the door in 2010. If he continues his stupidity, the odds are he too will be shown the door in 2014, provided the Establishment Republicans aren’t allowed to blow it again.

And there’s the problem. They are perfectly willing to blow it again. They are trying to push the Tea Party and other conservative groups out. However, if they succeed, they may rue the day. With the recent revelations of the Obama IRS working to suppress the conservative and Tea Party groups in the 2012 election, there is every chance they will come back bigger then ever. If they are forced out of the Republican party, they are set up to go “Whole Hog” and form a new political party. If this happens, the Democrats will have a party…for a while and the Republicans will go the way of the Whigs ((The Whig Party)).

The Tea Party has shown that it’s people stand by what they say once they get into office. In the few cases where people they supported “Changed their stripes” as it were, they either lost their seats, (Went Democrat), or saw their support dry up. This is happening now to Marco Rubio. The odds are that he will be a single term senator thanks to his attempts to ram through the Amnesty for Criminal Aliens bill.

The one thing that turns the American Voter off is liars, and the Establishment Republicans have shown they are untrustworthy liars. The Tea Party groups are both talking the talk and walking the walk. Win or lose, people know where they stand, and know they will continue to walk the walk in office. The Establishment Dinosaurs? They can’t see the asteroid coming in and will just sit their and admire the bright light when it hits.

Thatisall

~The Angry Webmaster~

(1 votes, average: 1.00 out of 5)
Loading...

Americans Want Piece Of Shit McCain To Stop Fomenting Riots In …

PRINCETON, NJ — Sixty-eight percent of Americans say the United States should not use military action in Syria to attempt to end the civil war there if diplomatic and economic efforts fail, while 24% would favor U.S. military involvement.
