Two years ago, Governor Scott Walker pushed through a law called Act 10 ((Wisconsin Budget Repair Bill)). It was designed to fix the structural budget problems the state of Wisconsin was facing. One section of it dealt with collective bargaining. Basically it killed it.

The Unions were utterly opposed to this and literally did everything they could including getting their Democrat bought and paid for Serfs Representatives to run to another state rather then let the bill be voted on. The unions said it was a direct threat to their existence. Well, two years later, they have been proven correct. Their membership, which had been forced to join the Unions and pay vigorish Unions Dues if they wanted to keep their jobs. With Act 10, the membership no longer was required to be in a union and, well here is what the Western Center for Journalism has to say:

Remember all those dire predictions about the damage Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker’s public employee union contract reforms would do? Remember the angst of Wisconsin’ teachers and other “vital workers” over what they saw as the end of the line for their cushy jobs and control over their state? Well, they were right to be worried. They are getting crushed and put out of existence.

Ahh, isn’t that a shame.

Now that two years have passed and the dust has settled, it’s safe to say that the union protesters who filled the legislative offices and camped out in Wisconsin’s state capital were actually optimistic. The results of Walker’s changes have been more devastating than either side could have feared or hoped for, depending on their point of view.

Would you care to guess where I stand on this? I’ll give you a hint. YAHOO!!

Since Act 10 passed two years ago, public employees’ unions have been in a steep decline they may not be able to come out of. Like a plane whose engines have failed will crash and burn, these unions are on their way to crashing and burning.

What is happening is what the Unions have known for decades. People don’t want or need to belong to a union these days. The private sector unions have pretty much folded, and now we’re starting to see what will happen when the public sector unions get their nuts cut off.

Savor this roll call of collapse in just two years.

Allow me to get comfortable. There, All set.

Among Wisconsin’s fastest declining unions is AFSCME Council 24, which has seen a jaw dropping 88% (5,900 to 690) reduction in its dues paying members.

That is a union that is basically, dead. The remaining members are probably the union hacks and morons who couldn’t succeed anywhere else.

Another union, the WSEU, has shrunk from 22,000 members before Act 10, to less than 10,000 as of last December.

Oh please! I want more!

Wisconsin’s AFSCME Council 40 has lost 35% of its membership (31,730 in 2011 to 20,488 today).

Council 48 situated in Milwaukee County had 9,043 members two years ago. Today, it has 3,498 dues paying members.

Wisconsin’s teachers’ unions have lost 29% of their members, and there is no reason to believe the bleeding will stop anytime soon.

The people of Wisconsin, the taxpaying people, saw what the unions and their Progressive Liberal Democrat minions had done to their finances. Basically, they were looting it for all it was worth. But wait! There’s more!

More than this, the whole state is experiencing a collapse of union membership, according to a Bureau of Labor Statistic release that set union membership at 11.2%, down from 13.3% just two years ago.

And I have no doubt that it will be further reduced in the next few years. Do you know what else will be reduced? Campaign contributions coerced from unwilling union members to Democrats. With the unions losing members at this rate, they wont’ be able to provide the bribes donations, thugs volunteers and ballot box stuffers Get Out the Vote workers for the Democrats. This means the Democrats will actually have to appeal to their constituents, and they aren’t interested in them any longer.

One poor union thug summed up Wisconsin’s sea change in attitudes toward unions this way: “If the public doesn’t care about the messenger, it’s not going to care about the message. If constituents don’t care, politicians aren’t going to care.”

There now, wasn’t that a fun read?!

Yes, yes it was.
