Good day all, Enough with the scandals and crimes coming out of Washington, how about a good story about a United States Marine who has won something by deliberately losing a race?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Now I think it\u2019s safe to say that those members, active and inactive members of the United States Marine Corps will say \u201cMarines NEVER deliberately lose!\u201d and I would agree. However, any Marine who says this has not had a chance to read about Lance Corporal Myles Kerr. Here\u2019s what News.com.au has to say about this fine example of a United States Marine<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“LEAVE no man behind.” <\/strong><\/p>\n

It’s one of the US Marine Corps’ more famous mottos, and 19-year-old Lance Corporal Myles Kerr lived up to it on Saturday. Not on the battlefield, but in a 5km race.<\/p>\n

LCpl Kerr was competing in the Jeff Drench Memorial 5K in Charlevoix, Michigan with several other marines when he spotted a nine-year-old boy, Boden Fuchs, struggling to finish the race after falling behind the rest of his group, The Huffington Post reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“Sir, will you please run with me?” Boden asked LCpl Kerr.<\/p>\n

So the marine dropped back from his buddies to run alongside the boy, motivating and encouraging him.<\/p>\n

With LCpl Kerr’s help, Boden eventually finished the race in 34 minutes and 53 seconds. Kerr crossed the line five seconds later to register the slowest time in his age group. Apparently nice guys really do finish last.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Marine<\/a><\/p>\n

Somehow, I can\u2019t see LCpl Kerr\u2019s Drill Instructor riding his ass over this. He has once again shown that the Marines<\/a> can be counted on to be there when needed and are the first to lend a hand those those in need. We also know how they handle those who mean us harm. Lcpl Kerr\u2019s actions have gone viral on the Internet.<\/p>\n

The act of compassion earned LCpl Kerr adulation on social media, with the Facebook group Seals of Honor<\/a> posting about the race on its wall. The group was originally created to honour Lieutenant Michael Murphy, a naval officer who died on duty in Afghanistan.<\/p>\n

“By his unwavering commitment to help those in need through his ability to inspire others by his unequivocal level of motivation, LCpl Kerr reflected great credit upon himself and was keeping in the highest traditions of the United States Marine Corps,” Seals of Honor wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Allow me to offer a tip of the hat from all of us at Anger Central to this fine example of America and the United States Marine Corps.<\/p>\n

Thank You Lance Corporal Kerr. You are a credit to your family, the your buddies, the United States Marine Corps and to America.<\/p>\n
