Now that Obama has decided to ask Congress to let him blow holes in Syria, lets take a look at these \u201cNobel Rebels fighting the Evil Government\u201d shall we?<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

According to an article by the New York Times, (The New York Times? Part of the Obama Steno Pool? Shocking!), these are not nice people. They are radical Islamic Fundamentalists who have been murdering anyone who isn\u2019t one of them. Here is what the Times has to say<\/a> about them:<\/p>\n

The Syrian rebels posed casually, standing over their prisoners with firearms pointed down at the shirtless and terrified men. The prisoners, seven in all, were captured Syrian soldiers. Five were trussed, their backs marked with red welts. They kept their faces pressed to the dirt as the rebels\u2019 commander recited a bitter revolutionary verse.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor fifty years, they are companions to corruption,\u201d he said. \u201cWe swear to the Lord of the Throne, that this is our oath: We will take revenge.\u201d<\/p>\n

The moment the poem ended, the commander, known as \u201cthe Uncle,\u201d fired a bullet into the back of the first prisoner\u2019s head. His gunmen followed suit, promptly killing all the men at their feet.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is a video of the execution. It doesn\u2019t show the actual execution, but you will see the bodies tossed into an unmarked grave.<\/p>\n

When I did a YouTube search for this video, I found a number of videos of these barbarians executing prisoners. These are the animals that McCain, Graham and Obama think we should be supporting? To continue the Times article:<\/p>\n

As the United States debates whether to support the Obama administration\u2019s proposal that Syrian forces should be attacked for using chemical weapons against civilians, this video, shot in April, joins a growing body of evidence of an increasingly criminal environment populated by gangs of highwaymen, kidnappers and killers.<\/p>\n

The video also offers a reminder of the foreign policy puzzle the United States faces in finding rebel allies as some members of Congress, including Senator John McCain, press for more robust military support for the opposition.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

We don\u2019t have any allies in the Middle East with one exception. That is Israel. They are the ONLY democracy, (Parliamentarian), in that part of the world. They have a constitution and obey the Rule of Law. The rest of the Middle East? You just saw an example of how they do things.<\/p>\n

In Washington on Wednesday, Secretary of State John Kerry addressed the issue of radicalized rebels in an exchange with Representative Michael McCaul, a Texas Republican. Mr. Kerry insisted, \u201cThere is a real moderate opposition that exists.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Kerry said that there were 70,000 to 100,000 \u201coppositionists.\u201d Of these, he said, some 15 percent to 20 percent were \u201cbad guys\u201d or extremists.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

HAH! Representative McCaul didn\u2019t believe John \u201cLiveshot\u201d Kerry either.<\/p>\n

Mr. McCaul responded by saying he had been told in briefings that half of the opposition fighters were extremists.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I think even Rep. McCaul is probably underestimating the numbers. And then, we have our old \u201cfriends\u201d Al Qaeda.<\/p>\n

Much of the concern among American officials has focused on two groups that acknowledge ties to Al Qaeda. These groups \u2014 the Nusra Front and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria \u2014 have attracted foreign jihadis, used terrorist tactics and vowed to create a society in Syria ruled by their severe interpretation of Islamic law.<\/p>\n

They have established a firm presence in parts of Aleppo and Idlib Provinces and in the northern provincial capital of Raqqa and in Deir al-Zour, to the east on the Iraqi border.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If we go into Syria, we should be bombing the snot out of these groups. They are the real enemy and have done actual harm to the United States. What has Bashar Assad done to us? Not a lot as far as I can tell. (Other then annoy us from time to time)<\/p>\n

While the jihadis claim to be superior fighters, and have collaborated with secular Syrian rebels, some analysts and diplomats also note that they can appear less focused on toppling President Bashar al-Assad. Instead, they said, they focus more on establishing a zone of influence spanning Iraq\u2019s Anbar Province and the desert eastern areas of Syria, and eventually establishing an Islamic territory under their administration.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is pretty much what happened in Libya, and what they tried to do in Iraq. Of course, in Iraq, prior to 2009, we actually liked to bomb and shoot them, not provide air support.<\/p>\n

While the United States has said it seeks policies that would strengthen secular rebels and isolate extremists, the dynamic on the ground, as seen in the execution video from Idlib and in a spate of other documented crimes, is more complicated than a contest between secular and religious groups.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gee, ya think? These \u201csecular\u201d groups are being ground down by the Syrian government and the RIF\u2019s. Most of them have fled the country, and the Turks are very annoyed at that. And then, there is this little \u201cRed Line\u201d problem of Obama\u2019s. (You know, the one he is claiming<\/i><\/span> lying about never saying. If you\u2019ve been following the news, the Russians have been saying that it wasn\u2019t the Syrian army that did it, but was the rebels. The UN group that just left the country was actually there to investigate a Russian report to the UN that was submitted TWO MONTHS ago. According to the McClatchy News Service:<\/p>\n

Russia says it has compiled a 100-page report detailing what it says is evidence that Syrian rebels, not forces loyal to President Bashar Assad, were behind a deadly sarin gas attack in an Aleppo suburb earlier this year.<\/p>\n

In a statement posted on the Russian Foreign Ministry\u2019s website late Wednesday. Russia said the report had been delivered to the United Nations in July and includes detailed scientific analysis of samples that Russian technicians collected at the site of the alleged attack, Khan al Asal.<\/p>\n

Russia said its investigation of the March 19 incident was conducted under strict protocols established by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, the international agency that governs adherence to treaties prohibiting the use of chemical weapons. It said samples that Russian technicians had collected had been sent to OPCW-certified laboratories in Russia.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

So, why isn\u2019t Il Douche demanding an air strike on the rebels? I\u2019m sure there must be a reason.<\/p>\n

There was no immediate comment from the United States. Independent chemical weapons experts contacted by McClatchy said they had not had time to read the Russian document, which was released as Secretary of State John Kerry was appearing before the House Foreign Affairs Committee to make the Obama administration\u2019s case for a retaliatory strike on Syria as punishment for the attack.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Personally, and I\u2019m surprised at myself, I think the Russians are correct. The rebels are the ones who initiated chemical warfare and might be the only ones using it. Here is a not so big secret. Assad doesn\u2019t need to use chemical weapons. His forces are pretty much winning. Why would he risk getting other nations involved now?<\/p>\n

The answer is, he wouldn\u2019t. Assad is many things, but stupid isn\u2019t one of them. He is a lot smarter then the late, unlamented Saddam Hussein. While I don\u2019t doubt he may have used chemical weapons, its the rebels that have been crossing the red line and gassing people. It\u2019s possible that the Syrian use of CW\u2019s was either a local commander who went off the reservation or even an accident.<\/p>\n

Now I am not a supporter of Assad either. I want to sit on the sidelines and wish both sides well in slaughtering each other. As far as I\u2019m concerned, our ONLY responsibility, along with the rest of the world, is making sure this mess doesn\u2019t spread. We should simply build grandstands and rate the two sides on style and points. Then, whoever wins, we can look at bombing them back into the trees.<\/p>\n

I wrote yesterday<\/a> that attacking Syria could be a real disaster. The worst case scenario could be the loss of several ships, sunk or badly damaged and dozens of aircraft shot down. One disaster that didn\u2019t occur to me was the presence of a troop ship. Apparently, the USS San Antonio is heading to, or has arrived on station off Syria. This ship can carry up to 800 Marines and is, for all intents and purposes, defenseless against the SS-N-25 anti-ship missiles that Syria is purported to have. Two or three of those missiles hitting the San Antonio, and that ship will go down. Since the Marines will be below decks, and depending how fast the hits occur, that ship could go down with the loss of the entire contingent and most of the Navy personnel as well.<\/p>\n

What would be the reaction if that happened? Of course, it would mean the annihilation of Syria, probably both sides, and a much wider war. It would also mean the end of Obama, McStain, Grammnesty and every single political hack that pushed this fiasco.<\/p>\n

All because Obama\u2019s reputation is at stake. Let me let you in on a secret you SCoaMF. Your reputation is already in the toilet and was flushed, repeatedly, years ago. You were stupid enough to make a pronouncement, thinking you wouldn\u2019t be called on it. Well guess what? You have been, and we\u2019re seeing your typical response. Deny you made the statement, lie through your teeth, blame others and then do something utterly meaningless and generally make things a lot worse then they are now. (See Libya and Egypt)<\/p>\n

Currently, a large number of senators and representatives are saying they will not support Obama\u2019s war. Call your representatives and Senators and tell them not to allow Obama to attack Syria. The civil war is not a threat to us or or our interests.<\/p>\n
