<\/a><\/p>\nWhat started all this was a posting of a URL to a column in the British paper, the Guardian<\/a>. The column by some ninny named Henry Potter, (No relation to Harry Potter I assume), was titled: American gun use is out of control. Shouldn’t the world intervene<\/a>?<\/p>\n In the column, this English idiot suggests that the rest of the world should force Americans to give up their guns. He then cites a large number of statistics that either have no bearing on his case, or are made up out of whole cloth. One bit that caught my attention was this paragraph:<\/p>\n Half the country is sane and rational while the other half simply doesn’t grasp the inconsistencies and historic lunacy of its position, which springs from the second amendment right to keep and bear arms, and is derived from English common law and our 1689 Bill of Rights. We dispensed with these rights long ago, but American gun owners cleave to them with the tenacity that previous generations fought to continue slavery. Astonishingly, when owning a gun is not about ludicrous macho fantasy, it is mostly seen as a matter of personal safety, like the airbag in the new Ford pick-up or avoiding secondary smoke, despite conclusive evidence that people become less safe as gun ownership rises<\/a>.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n I had to laugh at this and also felt saddened when he wrote that the English had \u201cDispensed with these rights.\u201d He honestly doesn\u2019t understand that he has no recourse of the Government decides to just do away with him. I turned this over to Emperor Misha of the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler<\/a> for a proper rebuttal, and he didn\u2019t disappoint. He took one look at it and put up a post titled \u201cTarget Practice!<\/a>\u201d and promptly nuked the Moonbat.<\/p>\n I actually created an account on their comments page and let fly with a few choice remarks myself. There are a large number of comments and I\u2019m afraid you will have to dig through them. Most are typical of the Moonbat\u2019s thought processes, (Or lack their of), but they all had a common thread. They thought they could send in UN based troops and forcibly disarm the citizens of the United States. One clown remarked he would get the Germans, French and Italians to join them. My reply was succinct and quite rude. I said at least they would have a fine last meal.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, I missed his inclusion of Japan. If I had noticed it when I was writing up my response to his moronic post, I would have added this bit:<\/p>\n The Japanese? I hate to burst your bubble, but they already tried that. I think it was around 07:55am local time, someplace near Oahu, Hawaii on a Sunday. I think the date was December 7th<\/sup> 1941. Yeah, that didn\u2019t work out to well for them. We got really annoyed, burned down almost all their cities and nuked a couple of others. I wouldn\u2019t count on them to help you out Sparky.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n Then there is a thread ongoing on the Facebook Starbuck Appreciation Day page. I only added a few of my pithy comments to the thread and let another person rip the moonbats a new one. He actually started it by posting a link to an Examiner.com story on a Harvard study (.pdf file), that showed gun bans don\u2019t do anything to reduce crime. This set the poor little moonbats hearts aflutter with one well known Faceplant idiot doing her usual bit with regards to refuting facts. Making things up, insulting anyone who dares disagree with her and lying.<\/p>\n As is the Progressive Liberal\u2019s wont, she brought up Trayvon Martin and showed that she had not bothered with any of the facts produced during the Zimmerman trial. One guy finally had enough, (Actually the originator of the thread), and told her that if \u201cSaint Trayvon of the Curb Stomp\u201d had survived the shooting, he would have been looking at some serious prison time. I borrowed his remarks and posted them on the Guardian\u2019s comments section. As you might have expected, they blew their tops.<\/p>\n Another Moonbat charged the originator of the Facebook thread with admiring Randy Weaver. For those of you to young or ignorant to remember, Randy Weaver ((Ruby Ridge<\/a>)) was a white seperatist. He and his family moved away from people and \u201cSeparated\u201d themselves from people of other skin colors and religions.<\/p>\n Back in the 90\u2019s, the BATF tried to blackmail Weaver into informing on assorted white supremicist groups. Long story short ((The incident at the “Y” in the trails<\/a>)), (And you can look up the details), there was a shoot out between the BATF agents and Randy Weaver\u2019s son, Samuel and a family friend, Kevin Harris. Samuel Weaver was shot in the back by the ATF and killed. One of the agents was killed by Harris and a siege began of the Weaver household. The low point in that fiasco came when FBI Sniper Lon Horiuchi ((Lon Tomohisa Horiuchi<\/a>)) shot and killed Vicki Weaver as she held her baby in her arms.<\/p>\n You can look up all the details and what happened after yourself. The upshot of all this is the Facebook poster reverted to type and called this guy a racist. The reply to the moonbat was perfect. As I mentioned, I happen to know this person and there isn\u2019t a racist bone in his body. His wife, like mine, is Asian, which he pointed out to the idiot.<\/p>\n As you might have noticed, both the Facebook poster and I went after the anti-gun moonbats with facts and figures. We did not reduce ourselves to foul language and the insults were subtle, (Meaning the Moonbats completely missed them), and amusing. (I really liked the part where I posted a link back to my blog post on how the French, surrendered a few years ago to a piece of driftwood<\/a>.<\/p>\n Eventually, I tired of taunting the Moonbats. I can only put up with their incessant barking for so long before I want to club them like a baby seal and put them out of my misery. Still, it was a way to have some fun on a quiet Sunday.<\/p>\n I wonder now if I”m going to get it with the Facebook Ban hammer? My friend is one up on me, but none of us hold a candle to Michael Z.
