Good day all. It is now the 8th<\/sup> day of The End Of The World As We Know It, or as the Washington Political class knows it. (The rest of us are just going about our business)<\/p>\n

Still no reports of Zombies, except in the editorial offices of the New York Times, the Washington Post and the Boston Globe. (Instead of saying \u201cBRAAAAIIIIINNNS!\u201d they moan \u201cOBAAAAAMMMMMAAAA\u201d) Now, the Spite House is starting to think about the coming debt ceiling issue. In a very short time, the United States will legally not be allowed to borrow any money. Right on schedule, President Whiny Stompyfoot said the United States would default on it\u2019s debts.<\/p>\n

Now there is just one teensy little problem with this. It\u2019s an outright lie. Not surprising of course considering that the Marxist Moron couldn\u2019t tell the truth if his life depended on it…literally. What will happen is that the federal government will only be allowed to spend what it takes in each month. Then they have to prioritize that spending. The first thing that has to be paid is the interest on the National Debt. Currently, that is about $25 billion per month. As long as we pay that, we don\u2019t go into default. We are currently sending Washington something like $200 billion a month right now. We can easily male the interest payments.<\/p>\n

The next thing we need to take care of are the constitutionally mandated things like the National Defense. Then Law enforcement and whatever is left over can go into other things like closing war memorials and kicking elderly people out of their homes. In other words, The Spite House will have to actually live within it\u2019s means. I guess that Golf Cart One will finally be parked.<\/p>\n

As you might expect, the panicky Political Class is busily panicking screaming about the end of the world. The American People? The ones who have to pay these bills with their hard earned and looted money? Not so much. According to Fox News<\/a>:<\/p>\n

A Fox News national poll asks voters to imagine being a lawmaker and having to cast an up-or-down vote on raising the debt ceiling: 37 percent would vote in favor of it, while 58 percent would vote against it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That is a pretty significant number and one the DC Dumbkopf\u2019s should pay attention to. Of course, the Progressive Liberal Democrats are all in favor of spending the United States into bankruptcy.<\/p>\n

Over half of Democrats would vote in favor of increasing the debt ceiling (57 percent), while 38 percent would vote against doing so.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

However, there is a caveat on this finding.<\/p>\n

At the same time, 62 percent of voters want Congress to raise the limit only after agreeing on \u201cmajor cuts in government spending.\u201d Far fewer — 27 percent — believe the limit must be increased and that is it \u201creckless\u201d to even debate not doing so. Even Democrats, by a 48-42 percent margin, are more likely to say spending cuts must accompany an increase in the debt limit.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Hello! Washington! Are you listening? Who am I kidding? With few exceptions, of course not. Still…<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, by a nine percentage-point margin, voters are more likely to think the automatic government spending cuts that went into effect March 1 are a good thing than a bad thing (48-39 percent). That\u2019s mostly unchanged from how voters felt about the sequester cuts earlier this year.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The reason for this is simple. It didn\u2019t bother most people. Granted, the military was damaged, but since Der Fubar intends to destroy the military, he sees that as a benefit, not a detriment. Here\u2019s the issue that hasn\u2019t sunk in yet with the RINO\u2019s, never mind the Progressive Liberal Democrats. We the People, unlike the Political Class, can do basic math. We know that you don\u2019t try to live on credit cards for one simple reason. Eventually, you have to pay it back. Currently, with the utter tone deafness of most of the Political class, the 2014 midterms may be an even bigger bloodbath the then 2010 midterms. We can only hope.<\/p>\n
