What is it with the California Nazi\u2019s….I mean Democrats? Why is it that California so hates anyone that supports traditional America? The latest bit of totalitarian stupidity? The Progressive Liberal Democrats want to ban judges from any affiliation with the Boy Scouts of America.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

First, a little due diligence. I was never a member of the Boy Scouts, Cub scouts or the Webelos. I will admit to having a thing for the occasional girl scout though. *grin* Now, here\u2019s what\u2019s going on according to the Daily Caller<\/a>:<\/p>\n

California is proposing to ban members of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA) from serving as judges because the Boy Scouts do not allow gay troop leaders, The Daily Caller has learned. In a move with major legal implications, The California Supreme Court Advisory Committee on The Code of Judicial Ethics has proposed to classify the Boy Scouts as practicing \u201cinvidious discrimination\u201d against gays, which would end the group\u2019s exemption to anti-discriminatory ethics rules and would prohibit judges from being affiliated with the group.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

While I can see this committee trying to institute this, I would suspect it would blow up in their faces. This is just another example of the fascist totalitarian mindset of your average Progressive Liberal Democrat. They are absolutely intolerant of any views not their own and they will use all means available to them, irregardless of of the constitutional rights of individuals. And, as you might expect, they are running into the one law they can\u2019t ignore, the Law of Unintended Consequences.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Committee\u2019s invitation ignores the fact that the change also encompasses other youth organizations whose membership is limited on the basis of gender, e.g., the Girl Scouts, as well as the military, which continues to practice \u2018discrimination\u2019 on the basis of gender,\u201d wrote Catherine Short, legal director of the pro-life group Life Legal Defense Foundation, in a letter to the Committee obtained by The DC that predicts possible implications for pro-life judges in the future. \u201cPerhaps this is not an unintended consequence,\u201d wrote Short.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

As we say in the Information Technology field, \u201cThat isn\u2019t a bug, it\u2019s a feature!\u201d Suppression of groups and individuals that don\u2019t toe the party line is a requirement.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis proposed amendment has as its overtly-stated purpose the branding of the BSA as an organization whose members must be assumed to be biased and thus unfit for the bench. The Committee states that \u2018eliminating the exemption\u2026 would enhance public confidence in the impartiality of the judiciary,\u2019\u201d Short said.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

The Boy Scouts have been around for over 100 years. Their goal is to basically teach citizenship, Personal responsibility, self reliance and traditional American Values ((Boy Scouts of America (Wikipedia))), ((Boy Scouts of America (BSA)<\/a>)). Those are the very things that the Progressive Liberal Democrats utterly despise, especially anything to do with personal responsibility and traditional values. Therefore, anyone espousing those types of views must be suppressed and utterly destroyed. Mr. Short concludes:<\/p>\n

\u201cOn the contrary, by promoting a hierarchy of politically-favored \u2018victim\u2019 status through pointlessly impugning the integrity of members of a venerable American institution, the proposed Amendment will communicate to the public that judges are being told by the California Supreme Court what to think, whom they may associate with, and what are permissible opinions to hold, and that only those who toe the line will be allowed to sit on the bench. The public can hardly expect impartiality from the judiciary in such a climate of intolerance,\u201d Short wrote.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
