Good day all. A few weeks ago news came out that Representative John Conyers had failed to get enough signatures to get on the ballot for reelection. I had written about it<\/a>, chuckling the whole time.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Conyers, who has been in office screwing up the country for 50 years, appealed the decision. Well, the decision has been made and Conyers is not going to be on the primary ballot. Here are the wonderful details from Fox News<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Michigan Rep. John Conyers, one of the longest-serving Democrats in Congress, lost his appeal Friday to get on the August primary ballot after state officials found problems with his nominating petitions. The decision is a blow for Conyers and fellow Democrats, who are scrambling to find a way to keep the long-time incumbent in the House. One possibility is for Conyers to mount a write-in campaign, which can be an uphill climb. <\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Before deciding whether to go the write-in route, Conyers is still awaiting the decision of a federal judge who is expected to rule later Friday on Conyers’ request to throw out the Michigan election law as unconstitutional. <\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Typical member of the PLFD party. If the laws interfere with your privileges, get one of your pet judges to revoke them. I wouldn\u2019t count on it though. This is a pretty straightforward way to qualify for the ballot and one that you have complied with, (Allegedly), for decades.<\/p>\n

Killing Conyers’ career that way is “pretty outrageous,” his lawyer, John Pirich, said this week. <\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Personally, I have no problem with it. It\u2019s not our problem that he thinks that he doesn\u2019t have to follow the laws. Well Conyers, all I can say is \u201cCheck your privilege.\u201d I\u2019m not the only one who has no problem with Conyers being bounced from the ballot.<\/p>\n

But political opponents aren’t upset. An attorney for a Democratic challenger, the Rev. Horace Sheffield III, said Conyers for decades had no problem following the law. <\/i><\/p>\n

“In essence, they played the game, lost and then complained that the rules were unfair,” Eric Doster said, quoting a Virginia judge. <\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Obviously you aren\u2019t experienced in the ways of Progressivism. The rules only apply to the serfs, not to the \u201cSpecial members of the Elite\u201d which Conyers considers himself to be.<\/p>\n

\n

If Conyers cannot get back on the ballot — and win — or mount a successful write-in campaign, it would end a 50-year career in Congress. He is the second most-senior member of the House, only to Rep. John Dingell, D-Mich., who is already retiring. If Conyers goes, Michigan would lose a staggering 184 years of congressional service just among five members.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I think I see the problem here. We have way to many members of \u201cJurassic Congress\u201d who have fossilized and won\u2019t change with the times. That many years of experience is not good. The founders of our nation never envisioned a person spending their entire adult life in elective office. With people like Conyers and Dingell, you can see what happens when all they know is politics. They become dangerously out of touch with what is going , not only in their districts, but across the nation. Goodbye and good riddance Conyers. Don\u2019t let the door hit you in the ass on your way out.<\/p>\n
