The second big supreme court decision came out a little while ago and this one might even be bigger then the one that just torpedoed the public sector unions<\/a>. In another 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court ruled in favor of Hobby Lobby\u2019s challenge to the birth control mandate under Obamacare.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

This one is a major decision and blows a large hole in Obamacare. To be honest, considering the way Chief Justice Roberts illegally upheld Obamacare two years ago, I fully expected him to continue screwing over the American People. This time he didn\u2019t and the birth control mandate is now dead. Here are some of the details from Associated Press:<\/p>\n

The Supreme Court ruled Monday that some corporations can hold religious objections that allow them to opt out of the new health law requirement that they cover contraceptives for women. The justices’ 5-4 decision is the first time that the high court has ruled that profit-seeking businesses can hold religious views under federal law. And it means the Obama administration must search for a different way of providing free contraception to women who are covered under objecting companies’ health insurance plans.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

I hope that the GSA has hired extra janitors for the Democrat office areas in Congress. I can see many libtard heads going \u201cKaBOOM!\u201d over this decision. Of course, the court did split hairs.<\/p>\n

The court stressed that its ruling applies only to corporations, like the Hobby Lobby chain of arts-and-craft stores, that are under the control of just a few people in which there is no essential difference between the business and its owners.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Big deal. This is just the start. I don\u2019t know what went through Roberts excuse for a brain this time in supporting the majority. Perhaps he\u2019s beginning to understand the disaster he let loose with his tortured, and blatantly unconstitutional ruling two years ago. (In declaring the obamacare mandate a tax, he forgot that all money bills have to start in the House. This crap came out of the Senate) Of course, the 4 statists on the bench disagreed with the majority.<\/p>\n

In a dissent she read aloud from the bench, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg called the decision “potentially sweeping” because it minimizes the government’s interest in uniform compliance with laws affecting the workplace. “And it discounts the disadvantages religion-based opt outs impose on others, in particular, employees who do not share their employer’s religious beliefs,” Ginsburg said.<\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Like that dried up old communist has to worry about birth control. Now what you won’t see much of is why Hobby Lobby and the other companies were upset by the birth control mandate. It included coverage for things like the \u201cMorning After\u201d pill and other drugs designed to end a pregnancy in the early stages. Hobby Lobby wasn\u2019t opposed to drugs that prevent pregnancy and actually did cover those.<\/p>\n

Obamacare has been a total disaster and has been hated by the majority of people since it was first proposed. Roberts stupidity and cowardice in upholding it laid the foundations to the collapse of the finest medical system in the world. If you want to see what healthcare in America will look like in a few years, look at how the Veterans Administration has been handling things.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s Supreme Court session has been very interesting. In several cases, the court ruled unanimously against Obama. There were a few of their typical wishy washy rulings and a few that were just flat out wrong. Still, this is a start.<\/p>\n
