Good evening. the news is reporting that Robin Williams has died. Cause of death appears to have been suicide. It has been reported that Williams did suffer from severe depression, however, that is speculation at this time.<\/p>\n

I remember seeing Robin Williams when he played Mork from Ork on the Mork and Mindy show<\/a> back in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Rather then be typecast as a wacky alien, Williams made a name for himself as a great comedian and a fine dramatic actor. While he was a classic Hollywood moonbat, he tended to keep his views mostly to himself, and more importantly, he understood that there were times when you put those ideas aside.<\/p>\n

Mr. Williams made a number of USO trips to the Middle East to entertain the troops. There was one famous incident that caught Mr, Williams totally off guard, and yet, rather then move into his usual ad lib routines when something like this happens, he instinctively understood something important was going on and stopped his show and quiet stood at a semblance of attention.
