Good day all. Last weekend a story came out regarding Sen. Mary Landrieu, (D-LA), and how she was \u201cReimbursing\u201d the Federal Government for travel expenses that had nothing to do with her duties as a U.S. Senator.<\/p>\n

Landrieu is in a fairly close race for reelection, and could lose. She has been a big supporter of Obamacare, being one of those that helped get it passed, and has pretty much worked in lockstep with Harry Reid and Obama. Now, the odor of corruption is wafting about her person. Here are some of the details from the Washington Times<\/a>:<\/p>\n

Sen. Mary Landrieu<\/a>, Louisiana Democrat, sent a $33,700 check to the the federal government on Friday to refund taxpayer dollars she had wrongfully charged for political travel over a 12 year period. <\/i>Ms. Landrieu<\/a> released an investigation report into her travel records that found more than $33,700 in campaign flights were charged to her Senate account. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

$33,700.00 huh? Over 12 years? That doesn\u2019t sound like a lot, considering that Landrieu is a Liberal Democrat from Louisiana, and the Louisiana Democrats wrote the book on stealing from the taxpayers. So what was her excuse?<\/p>\n

In a statement on Friday she took responsibility for \u201csloppy book keeping\u201d that led to the wrongful charges applied to campaign flights. The senator also released an investigation report into her travel records that her campaign commissioned. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I can believe the sloppy book keeping. Everyone knows that when it comes to other people\u2019s money, Democrats can\u2019t count. I find it interesting that it was her campaign that commissioned the investigation. It makes me wonder if she heard something and decided that it was best to get out in front of this before someone else found out about it? Perhaps one of her two opponents might have found something?<\/p>\n

Ms. Landrieu<\/a> is caught in a tough Senate election against Republican Rep. Bill Cassidy and Rob Maness<\/a>. The new report could give the two conservatives a jump in polling going into the midterms. <\/i>Mr. Cassidy\u2019s campaign pointed out that Ms. Landrieu<\/a> did not disclose travel records prior to 2002, when the rules on travel spending changed, and questioned if there might be even more fraudulent spending to be found. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I think we can safely say, \u201cHell YES!\u201d there is fraudulent spending Mr. Cassidy. After all, Mary Landrieu is a Democrat and worships the ground that Dingy Harry Greed walks on.<\/p>\n

\u201cSen. Landrieu<\/a> cites a rule change in 2002, but prior to that, it was also illegal to bill taxpayers for private flights. Given Sen. Landrieu<\/a>\u2019s own admission of faulty oversight, how do taxpayers know that problems did not exist prior to 2002?\u201d said John Cummins, a campaign spokesman for Mr. Cassidy. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They don\u2019t of course, which is the whole idea. Landrieu is the typical Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat Elitist. What she has is hers and what YOU have is hers too. It\u2019s long past time to send this old moonbat to the political knackers yard. Of course a nice prison cell would be better, but I\u2019ll take what I can get.<\/p>\n
