Good day all. I’ve finally gotten the go ahead to upgrade the Angry Webmaster’s primary computer. I have a nice new 2 Terabyte Hybrid drive. I installed it this morning and promptly ran into issues. It isn’t that the system won’t see the drive, it does. The problem is that I keep getting an error message saying that Windows can’t run on the hardware.<\/p>\n

After banging my head against a wall, I found a possible fix on the Seagate site. (This is a Seagate drive) It starts by saying that I should use Windows 7 with Service Pack 1. There’s just one problem with that. I have an older version without SP1. After more digging around on the Seagate support site, I found a possible fix. I need to make a change in the BIOS. Since I don’t have time for this now, I’ve put the old drive back in, viruses, Trojans and all.<\/p>\n

The Webmaster punched up the updates to the main site then took off after threatening to commit bodily injury upon me. He’s forgotten the last time he tried that. Perhaps I should wave the chiropractor’s bill in his face…again to remind him. I’m going to give this another try tomorrow, so there might not be any blog entries.
