Since reality is something that never intrudes on followers of the Church of Global Warming, (Algore be praised!), I thought I would bring you the latest in insane moonbattyness. If we don’t instantly give up all forms of energy use, including fire, the world will die under giant volcanoes. Behold the nuttiness of Time Magazines Jeffrey Kluger<\/a>:<\/p>\n Give climate change credit for one thing: it\u2019s endlessly versatile.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n So far, I agree. It’s the new excuse now that the old standby, \u201cThe dog ate my homework,\u201d doesn’t work anymore thanks to computers.<\/p>\n There was a time we called it global warming, which meant what it said: the globe would get warmer.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yep, and when that didn’t happen, as the near four FEET of snow in my front yard is currently demonstrating, the Global Warmists came up with something new.<\/p>\n It was only later that we appreciated that a planet running a fever is just like a person running a fever, which is to say it has a whole lot of other symptoms: in this case, droughts, floods, wildfires, habitat disruption, sea level rise, species loss, crop death and more. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n In other words, pretty much everything that has been going on since the Earth was formed.<\/p>\n Now, you can add yet another problem to the climate change hit list:<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Wait for it….<\/p>\n Volcanoes.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n DING DING DING!<\/p>\n That\u2019s the word from a new study conducted in Iceland and accepted for publication in <\/i>Geophysical Research Letters<\/b><\/i><\/em>. The finding is bad news not just for one comparatively remote part of the world, but for everywhere. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Rather then go through the whole rigamarole of what these clowns are claiming, I’ll give you the nutshell version. Because all the icecaps and glaciers are melting, the sea levels are rising and we will all drown. For those of us who don’t drown in the \u201cSecond Biblical Flood<\/a>,\u201d since all that heavy ice is no longer weighing down the ground, the land will suddenly flex up causing massive volcanoes and earthquakes. Now for some pseudo-scientific language to frighten small children, the gullible, Hollywood personalities and politicians.<\/p>\n \u201cAs the glaciers melt, the pressure on the underlying rocks decreases,\u201d Compton said in an e-mail to TIME. \u201cRocks at very high temperatures may stay in their solid phase if the pressure is high enough. As you reduce the pressure, you effectively lower the melting temperature.\u201d The result is a softer, more molten subsurface, which increases the amount of eruptive material lying around and makes it easier for more deeply buried magma chambers to escape their confinement and blow the whole mess through the surface.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Then we have the obligatory insult to those of us who have a small problem with the blatant lies of the parishioners of the Church of Global Warming, (Algore Akbar!)<\/p>\n Perhaps anticipating the climate change deniers\u2019 uncanny ability to put two and two together and come up with five, the researchers took pains to point out that no, it\u2019s not the very fact that Icelandic ice sits above hot magma deposits that\u2019s causing the glacial melting. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Yes it is. Volcanoes erupting under the ice will cause the ice to melt.<\/p>\n The magma\u2019s always been there; it\u2019s the rising global temperature that\u2019s new.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n So, the video below is what we’re going to experience then?<\/p>\n [youtuber youtube=’http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=MqC0M6VrViQ’]<\/p>\n Oh wait, that was a movie, (and a mediocre one at that), called 2012. That, like Global Warming, (Algore be praised! Algore Akbar!), was fiction created to make money for the film makers. Much as this whole global warming, (and when the Earth didn’t burn,) and now climate change, is nothing more than a scam by people like Al Gore to enrich himself and by elitists who want to control every single aspect of people\u2019s lives.<\/p>\n Global warming, at least as described by knotheads like Jeffrey Kluger, is a fraud. As to climate change? The climate is ALWAYS changing! As more and more honest research on the climate is done, the facts are coming forth utterly refuting the Global Warmists, and like any religious fanatics, they wont’ accept that they were WRONG! They will continue to fight on until the day they freeze to death in a massive blizzard. (Which they will also blame on Global warming)<\/p>\n Look, I fully accept the premise that the ground flexes when the ice caps melt. I just have serious issues with the claim that the only thing that’s keeping the Earth from exploding IS the ice caps. If I recall my reading correctly, the Earth was once a giant snowball with glaciers reaching the equator. According to geologists<\/a>, this lasted for millions of years and didn’t end until the supercontinent at the time started to break apart. In other words, it wasn’t the ice cap melting that caused the volcanoes, it was the volcanoes that caused the ice to melt. (This is a theory of course, but has more evidence then global warming does)<\/p>\n I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The scientific evidence shows that the Earth has been a lot hotter then it is now, and also a lot colder. It was a lot warmer when dinosaurs roamed the Earth, however, I don’t think that we can blame that on Barney the dinosaur<\/a> driving his SUV all over Pangaea<\/a>.<\/p>\n Once upon a time, Time Magazine was a reputable periodical. Then they drank gallons of Kool-Aid, jumped multiple sharks and basically destroyed themselves.
