Lois Lerner, who was instrumental in suppressing the conservative and Tea party political groups in 2012, arguably throwing the election to that SCoaMF, Barack Obama, was hauled up in front of a congressional committee and refused to testify. Normally, taking the 5th<\/sup>, as it were, is perfectly within the rights of anyone including this totalitarian twat. However, she made a statement which appears to have negated her right not to testify. Because of this, the house of representatives voted to hold her in contempt and sent over a recommendation to prosecute. The DOJ has announced they won’t. Here are some of the details from Fox News:<\/p>\n The Justice Department has declined to pursue contempt of Congress charges against Lois Lerner for refusing to testify about her role at the IRS in the targeting of conservative groups.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The department announced the decision in a letter Tuesday to House Speaker John Boehner, whose Republican-controlled chamber made the request to prosecute, after holding Lerner in contempt for refusing to testify at committee hearings. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Interesting that Fox noted that the House is controlled by the RINO<\/i><\/span> Republican party.<\/p>\n “Once again, the Obama administration has tried to sweep IRS targeting of taxpayers for their political beliefs under the rug,\u201d Boehner spokesman Michael Steel told FoxNews.com.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n What did you expect \u201cOh Spineless One?\u201d Did you forget that the Attorney General himself is also in Contempt of Congress? Did you really think that Holder was going to actually prosecute someone for the same thing he’s accused of? Silly Rino.<\/p>\n Lerner asserted her Fifth Amendment privilege, which allows people to not testify against themselves, during a May 2013 hearing of the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform and then again at a March 2014 hearing.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n As mentioned, that is everyone’s right.<\/p>\n However, House Republicans argued Lerner waived the privilege with an opening statement she made before the committee in the May 2013 appearance. All the chamber\u2019s Republican members and six Democrats officially voted in May 2014 to hold Lerner in contempt. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n And there’s the rub. Did she or didn’t she? Only her hairdresser<\/i><\/span> Holder can tell for sure. Here’s the bilge that came out of the DOiJ.<\/p>\n Ron Machen Jr<\/a>., the U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia, said in the seven-page letter that federal prosecutors concluded Lerner did not waive her privilege because she made \u201conly general claims of innocence\u201d during the opening statement. <\/i><\/p>\n I looked this guy up on Wikipedia. They have a picture of him. It’s scary how much he looks like Holder. Makes me think it is Holder, only with a picture that was slightly photoshopped. As to what passes for his reasoning, I’ll have to defer to real lawyers.<\/p>\n \u201cThus, the Fifth Amendment to the Constitution would provide Ms. Lerner with an absolute defense should be prosecuted \u2026 for her refusal to testify,\u201d wrote Machen, who was appointed to the U.S. attorney post by President Obama and left for private practice Wednesday, one day after sending the letter. He also said he will not refer the case to a grand jury or take any other action to prosecute. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Nice little going away present, don’t you think?<\/p>\n Ohio GOP Rep. Jim Jordan said federal prosecutors made the \u201cwrong\u201d decision.<\/em><\/p>\n Gee, ya think?<\/p>\n \u201cAs one of his final acts as U.S. attorney for Washington, D.C., Ronald Machen used his power as a political weapon to undermine the rule of law,\u201d Jordan said. \u201cMachen was legally bound to convene a grand jury, but instead he ignored his obligation and unilaterally decided to ignore the will of the House. \u2026 This is wrong, and a great example of why so many Americans distrust their government.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Hey dumbass, this IS the Obama regime. You know, where the laws do not apply to the \u201cSpecial People?\u201d Now I don’t know if Lerner could be hauled in front of a Grand Jury under the next administration. Hopefully she could. The congress could also grant her a limited form of immunity and compel her testimony, but that has to be done carefully. In order to hang her, they need to set a few careful perjury traps and see if she walks into them.<\/p>\n I have real doubts now that the Republic will survive another 10 years. I really think the United States is going to collapse and what comes after will not be good. All because the Republicans are to cowardly to impeach Obama and the Democrats are to corrupt.<\/p>\n You might want to pop over to the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler<\/a> and see what they have to say.
