Christie is a second term RINO<\/i><\/span> Republican governor of New Jersey. He is notable for being a loudmouth as well as a serious weight problem, hence his unflattering nickname, the \u201cJersey Whale.\u201d He is also a paid up member of the Establishment, Big Government side of the Republican Party. Recently, he gave a speech in which he said that he is looking for the \u201cRight Balance\u201d between the Second Amendment and gun control. Here are some of the details from Breitbart<\/a>:<\/p>\n On April 15, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie (R) said he is trying to find the \u201cright balance\u201d between gun rights and gun control. He apparently wants to keep from going as far as Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) and other GOP presidential hopefuls went at the NRA convention in Nashville. He appears to be seeking, instead, a \u201ccentrist\u201d approach that allows him to appease both pro-Second Amendment and pro-gun control voters. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n According to Politico<\/a>, Christie was speaking to voters in Manchester, New Hampshire, when he turned to the issues of guns. He said, \u201cWe\u2019ve got to make sure we have public safety, but on the other hand we have to protect people\u2019s rights both as sportsmen and hunters and for self protection too, find the right balance.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n I would llie to see where it says “The Right Balance” in the Second Amendment. It does say “Well Regulated, but that term had a far different meaning in the 18th <\/sup>century. (It meant “in good working order) Christie has never been a fan of the Second Amendment. He is also governor of one of the worst states when it comes to protecting the constitutional rights of Citizens to keep and bear arms. They’re opposed to it and want all guns confiscated. Christie is firmly in the confiscation camp.<\/p>\n On March 25, Breitbart News quoted<\/a> Christie saying he would \u201crespect\u201d gun rights \u201cappropriately\u201d if voters would give him a pro-gun legislature. <\/i>The Wall Street Journal<\/i><\/a><\/em> pointed out that this followed earlier comments by Christie in which he said he supports \u201cstrictly enforcing\u201d New Jersey\u2019s gun control laws. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n New Jersey’s gun laws are, in a word, draconian. Christie has been fully supportive of the New Jersey laws and has a history of opposing the Second Amendment. People have been jailed for minor paperwork issues<\/a> and their lives destroyed because of the blatantly unconstitutional laws the Democrats have been passing in that state. Even driving through the state with a gun, dismantled and locked in a container can get you thrown in jail in New Jersey.<\/p>\n Granted, Christie is dealing with a Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat controlled legislature, but if he actually believed in the constitution as well as the Second Amendment, he could have submitted bills to repeal the bad laws and vetoed the new ones that came before him. It wouldn’t matter if he succeeded. It would have shown the nation that he was at least trying. The fact of the matter is, he believes in taking away the guns of the citizens.<\/p>\n Back in 2012, when Romney was starting to flounder, there were calls from pundits for Christie to jump in. Ann Coulter was one of his biggest boosters. Since then, she has come to the conclusion that her support for the Jersey Whale was one of the biggest mistakes she’s made. She now denounces him as a phony and no longer supports him. Of course, Ms. Coulter tends to put her mouth into gear before engaging her brain. Other conservative pundits long ago came to the conclusion that Christie is a RINO blowhard and can’t be trusted.<\/p>\n Christie has no chance of winning the nomination in 2016 and will probably be out as governor when his current term expires.
