Here are some of the details from <a href=\"http:\/\/freebeacon.com\/issues\/nlrb-judge-kansas-union-punished-dissidents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Free Beacon<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>A federal labor arbiter ordered a Kansas union to stop threatening bodily harm against union dissidents it was supposed to represent in a grievance case. <\/i><i>The National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) sanctioned the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District 70, Local 839, an AFL-CIO affiliate, (IAM), for using intimidation tactics against dissidents. The board&#8217;s regional director concluded the union had used threats of physical abuse and had attempted to get non-members fired from Spirit Aerosystems.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Epic_Facepalm_by_RJTH.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-15907\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Epic_Facepalm_by_RJTH-300x225.jpg?resize=300%2C225\" alt=\"Epic_Facepalm_by_RJTH\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Epic_Facepalm_by_RJTH.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Epic_Facepalm_by_RJTH.jpg?resize=500%2C375&amp;ssl=1 500w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/Epic_Facepalm_by_RJTH.jpg?w=900&amp;ssl=1 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And people wonder why I despise unions? In any case, here is what the judge said in his order the the union thugs:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><b>Cease and desist from: Attempting to cause or causing Spirit Aerosystems to discharge employee-members because of their dissident union and and\/or other protected concerted activities.Threatening employee-members with bodily harm or impeding their grievances because of their protected concerted activities. Discriminatorily and\/or arbitrarily processing employee-members\u2019 grievances because of their protected concerted activities.<\/b><\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The abuse by the Union most have been pretty blatant for the NLRB to actually come down on the other side. Of course, the union has their own opinion of the matter.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>The union dismissed the charges in a statement following the April decision. <\/i><i>\u201cWe are aware of the decision and believe it was wrongly decided on the facts and the law,\u201d District 70 Directing Business Representative Frank Molina said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210527071624\/https:\/\/www.ll839.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nothing-to-see-here.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-15908\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nothing-to-see-here-300x191.jpg?resize=300%2C191\" alt=\"nothing to see here\" width=\"300\" height=\"191\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nothing-to-see-here.jpg?resize=300%2C191&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/09\/nothing-to-see-here.jpg?w=500&amp;ssl=1 500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Translation: We got caught and we will stall until our friends in the White House can get rid of this judge and replace him with one who will bow to our will. Somehow, I don&#8217;t think that&#8217;s going to work. The plaintiffs do look like they were the victims of unionist thuggery.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Jarrod Lehman and Ryan Hastens were employees at the Wichita plane manufacturer and previously held leadership posts with the union. They filed unfair labor practice complaints against the IAM in July 2014 alleging that the union pushed for their firings against company policy.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Ahh, we have a case of the Union eating it&#8217;s own. Pass the popcorn please.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/popcorn.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-16558\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/popcorn-246x300.jpg?resize=246%2C300\" alt=\"popcorn\" width=\"246\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/popcorn.jpg?resize=246%2C300&amp;ssl=1 246w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/popcorn.jpg?w=417&amp;ssl=1 417w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 246px) 100vw, 246px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Lehman ran an unsuccessful campaign to lead the union in 2013 and soon found himself threatened by former election opponents, who referred to him in colorful terms.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Colorful terms? Such as?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cLehman\u2019s credible explanation of his rocky relationship with Johnson was not disputed. (Tr. 233\u2013 240.) Moreover, the General Counsel\u2019s unopposed motion to correct the transcript to reflect that [union head Howard] Johnson called Lehman a cocky little shit instead of a \u2018coffee\u2019 little \u2018shift,\u2019 is granted,\u201d the ruling says.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17422\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass-266x300.jpg?resize=266%2C300\" alt=\"head_up_ass\" width=\"266\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass.jpg?resize=266%2C300&amp;ssl=1 266w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass.jpg?w=350&amp;ssl=1 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 266px) 100vw, 266px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Kasten was also a harsh critic of IAM leadership. The former shop steward supported challengers to Johnson\u2019s in the 2013 election and soon found himself in the crosshairs of union officials, according to the NLRB ruling.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And what was it that ticked off the union masters?<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<i>Kasten\u2019s relationship with District 70 leadership began to sour, however, in November 2013 when he accompanied Karen Ascension, a vice presidential candidate in the upcoming IAM International election, to a union meeting to speak on behalf of the reform candidates,\u201d the ruling states. \u201cAscension was running on the national reform slate in the upcoming election, along with Jay Cronk, who was challenging incumbent International President Thomas Buffenbarger. Ascension encountered hostility, however, from Howard Johnson, who harassed her in an attempt to curtail her presentation.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17445\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk-300x225.jpg?resize=300%2C225\" alt=\"headdesk\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk.jpg?resize=300%2C225&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/headdesk.jpg?w=449&amp;ssl=1 449w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Lehman and Kastens left themselves vulnerable to discipline in January 2014 when they disseminated a video of a safety violation at the plant to personal email addresses belonging to Spirit colleagues. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I won&#8217;t comment on the violation. It might have been major or it might have been a minor thing. Unions do have a tendency to blow everything out of proportion.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Company policy prohibited the spread of company information to personal emails even if they did belong to active employees. One of the recipients was a Johnson ally, who forwarded it to Johnson; the union leader then sent it to management to get both men fired, according to the ruling. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Well, I see two things here. As I mentioned, I have no idea what this violation was. However, the very fact that the union leadership sent it to management with the purpose of getting someone fired begs the question, \u201cWhat good are unions then? Aren&#8217;t they supposed to protect the workers?\u201d In any case, the NLRB laughed in the faces of the Union.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>The NLRB official dismissed Johnson\u2019s denial of the charges as \u201cutterly incredible.\u201d <\/i><i>\u201cJohnson\u2019s testimony, that he did not review the e-mail and video attachment to ascertain that it originated with Lehman and was forwarded by Kastens, was utterly incredible,\u201d the ruling says. \u201cJohnson forwarded it solely because of the Union\u2019s animus for Kastens and Lehman due to their union activity.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[youtuber youtube=&#8217;http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gbp_JQ7RxqM&#8217;]<\/p>\n<p>Oh, it&#8217;s going to get better.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>The relationship grew so acrimonious that Kastens took out a restraining order against Johnson, even as Johnson and his allies were handling his grievance process. \u201cHoward Johnson\u2019s remarks \u2026 conveyed the message that the incident would have repercussions regarding Kastens\u2019 pending grievance. Such a statement was clearly unlawful,\u201d the ruling says. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Needless to say, the Union isn&#8217;t going to give up. Dissent must be crushed utterly whenever and wherever it is found after all.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Molina said that the union would continue to fight the decision. <\/i><i>\u201cWe intend to appeal it to the NLRB and we are confident that the NLRB will reverse it,\u201d Molina said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20210527071624\/https:\/\/www.ll839.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement<\/a>.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[youtuber youtube=&#8217;http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=x_8YTa_-hZw&#8217;]<\/p>\n<p>Yep, they have a call in to Obama. Of course, it won&#8217;t help since this is Obama and the union&#8217;s can&#8217;t do anything for him now. I think the plaintiffs will carry the day. My hope is the rank and file will see just how worthless their union is and vote to get rid of it. Yeah, I know.
