What? New York City is NOT underwater? How is this possible? I mean, it was stated as fact by ABC News back in 2008 that New York City will be drowned by June 2015. How could they be wrong? This is ABC News! What other things did they predict that didn’t come true? Here’s a list from Newsbusters<\/a>:<\/p>\n New York City underwater? Gas over $9 a gallon? A carton of milk costs almost $13? Welcome to June 12, 2015. Or at least that was the wildly-inaccurate version of 2015 predicted by ABC News exactly seven years ago. Appearing on <\/i>Good Morning America <\/i><\/em>in 2008, Bob Woodruff hyped <\/i>Earth 2100<\/i><\/em>, a special that pushed apocalyptic predictions of the then-futuristic 2015.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Nuts. I was hoping New York would flushed into the Atlantic. As to that idiotic Moonbat show, Earth 2100? I remember when it finally came on the air. I read a few highlights and watched a Three Stooges marathon<\/a> instead. Moe, Larry and Curly are far more educational then that piece of drek. So just how out of whack were they?<\/p>\n The segment included supposedly prophetic videos, such as a teenager declaring, “It’s June 8th, 2015. One carton of milk is $12.99.” (On the actual June 8, 2015, a gallon of milk cost, on average, $3.39.) Another clip featured this prediction for the current year: “Gas reached over $9 a gallon.” (In reality, gas costs an average of $2.75<\/a>.)<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n On June 12, 2008, correspondent Bob Woodruff revealed that the program “puts participants in the future and asks them to report back about what it is like to live in this future world. The first stop is the year 2015.”<\/i><\/p>\n So this would be after the New York was hit by the Sharknado<\/a>?<\/p>\n As one expert warns that in 2015 the sea level will rise quickly, a visual shows New York City being engulfed by water. The video montage includes another unidentified person predicting that “flames cover hundreds of miles. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Then-<\/i>GMA<\/i><\/em> co-anchor Chris Cuomo appeared frightened by this future world. He wondered, “I think we’re familiar with some of these issues, but, boy, 2015? That’s seven years from now. Could it really be that bad?”<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Chris Cuomo is a member of the Cuomo Crime<\/i><\/span> Family. He’s the one that didn’t go into politics. He is, however, a paid up member of the Clan of the Moonbats! Well, due to a few issues with the \u201cDocumentary,\u201d the program didn’t air until 2009. When it aired, we were all shown what Global Warming was going to do to us.<\/p>\n The program showcased the terrible impact of global warming from 2015 through 2100.\u00a0In the special, a “storm of the century” wiped out Miami. Other highlights included a destroyed New York City and an abandoned Las Vegas. By 2084, Earth’s population will apparently be just 2.7 billion.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n If I recall correctly, Las Vegas was abandoned when they ran out of water. As I understand it, Vegas has water. Although they are having a few minor issues. California? Thanks to their lack of planning and utter stupidity, they are the ones with water shortages.<\/p>\n And as to the population being just under 3 billion? Well, that would make the Malthusians<\/a> happy. They’ve wanted to destroy most of the human race<\/a> for some time now. Anyway, ABC began to heavily promote the end of the world.<\/p>\n On June 13, 2008, ABCNews.com<\/a> promoted the special by hyperventilating, “Are we living in the last century of our civilization?” Unlike the 2015 predictions, that suggestion hasn’t (yet) been proven wrong.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Seven years later, the network has quietly ignored its horribly inaccurate predictions about 2015.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n This isn’t the first time that ABC has made wildly wrong predictions. Does anyone remember the miniseries, \u201cThe Day After<\/a>?\u201d That came out in Reagan’s first term and showed their version of the after effects of a global thermonuclear war. The whole thing was nothing more then a propaganda film trying to stop the Reagan military buildup. This was during the height of the Soviet inspired \u201cNuclear Freeze\u201d movement when ABC was in the \u201cBetter Red then Dead\u201d category.<\/p>\n As we saw, Reagan was right and the Soviet Union is now on the ash heap of history. Now the Church of Global Warming, (Algore Akbar!) is also starting to collapse due to a mountain of facts, like the snowiest winter in living memory. It’s a pity in some ways that Global Warming is a fraud.
