Back in 2009 <a href=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/?p=573\" target=\"_blank\">I wrote a post about a man named Nicholas Winton<\/a> and how he used his position just prior to World War Two to save the lives of hundreds of Jewish children. Sir Nicolas didn&#8217;t talk about what he had done and the story of his great work was almost lost to history.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>In September, 2009, in celebration of a great man, the train journey from what was then Czechoslovakia, (Now the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Czech_Republic\" target=\"_blank\">Czech Republic<\/a>), pulled out of the train station in Prague carrying 22 of people that Sir Nicholas&#8217;s actions saved from the Nazis. Sir Nicholas met the train when it pulled into\u00a0Liverpool Street station.<\/p>\n<p>It is with deep sadness that after a long and fruitful life, I must report that Sir Nicolas passed away July 1<sup>st<\/sup>, 2015.
