Even with the corrupt Chief Justice John Roberts doing everything he can to save this disaster, (and destroy the Constitution in the process), Obamacare is going to collapse. Insurance companies know this, so they are trying to raise rates as fast and far as possible to try and weather the collapse when it happens. I don&#8217;t have insurance through my work, I have been paying for my own for years now. I&#8217;m one of the lucky few who are grandfathered in and not being forced to buy this crap they call insurance today.<\/p>\n<p>As to the Federal Government opposing the increases, these are handled by the states. I don&#8217;t see the Obama regime having a lot of authority to stop them. Of course, the rule of law means nothing to anyone in Washington, so expect them to try something.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>The Oregon insurance commissioner, Laura N. Cali, has just approved 2016 rate increases for companies that cover more than 220,000 people. Moda Health Plan, which has the largest enrollment in the state, received a 25 percent increase, and the second-largest plan, LifeWise, received a 33 percent increase.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/rationing.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-12618\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/rationing.jpg?resize=227%2C227\" alt=\"rationing\" width=\"227\" height=\"227\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/rationing.jpg?w=227&amp;ssl=1 227w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/07\/rationing.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 227px) 100vw, 227px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Jesse Ellis O\u2019Brien, a health advocate at the Oregon State Public Interest Research Group, said: \u201cRate increases will be bigger in 2016 than they have been for years and years and will have a profound effect on consumers here. Some may start wondering if insurance is affordable or if it\u2019s worth the money.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>It isn&#8217;t, but that doesn&#8217;t mean anything these days. Thanks to that treasonous bastard John Roberts, you have no choice but to buy insurance. It doesn&#8217;t matter if you can afford it or not. You don&#8217;t buy, the IRS comes in and takes your money and then you still have to buy it. And Der Fubar&#8217;s answer to all this? It was about what you would expect from that coke snorting communist.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i><a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20220616140451\/https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/07\/02\/us\/politics\/obama-takes-health-care-momentum-into-gop-territory.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">President Obama, on a trip to Tennessee this week<\/a>, said that consumers should put pressure on state insurance regulators to scrutinize the proposed rate increases. If commissioners do their job and actively review rates, he said, \u201cmy expectation is that they\u2019ll come in significantly lower than what\u2019s being requested.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17422\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass-266x300.jpg?resize=266%2C300\" alt=\"head_up_ass\" width=\"266\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass.jpg?resize=266%2C300&amp;ssl=1 266w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/head_up_ass.jpg?w=350&amp;ssl=1 350w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 266px) 100vw, 266px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And you will see insurance companies getting out of the health insurance business since they can&#8217;t afford to stay in. We&#8217;ve already seen a few pull out of the Obamacare exchange market due to not being able to make any money. However, the delusions of the backers of Obamacare continue.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Sylvia Mathews Burwell, the secretary of health and human services, said that federal subsidies would soften the impact of any rate increases. Of the 10.2 million people who obtained coverage through federal and state marketplaces this year, 85 percent receive subsidies in the form of tax credits to help pay premiums. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And do you know where the money to pay for those subsidies comes from? Go look in a mirror. And as to that 85% who get them, it turns out a lot of them were never eligible for them in the first place and are going to take a major hit on their taxes this year. Surprise!<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>In an interview, Ms. Burwell said consumers could also try to find less expensive plans in the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2015\/06\/03\/us\/13-left-health-care-rolls-us-finds.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">open enrollment<\/a> period that begins in November. \u201cYou have a marketplace where there is competition,\u201d she said, \u201cand people can shop for the plan that best meets their needs in terms of quality and price.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/600026_560399050642360_1124628221_n.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10202\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/600026_560399050642360_1124628221_n-300x283.jpg?resize=300%2C283\" alt=\"Obamacare, Shovel Ready\" width=\"300\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/600026_560399050642360_1124628221_n.jpg?resize=300%2C283&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/600026_560399050642360_1124628221_n.jpg?resize=150%2C141&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/600026_560399050642360_1124628221_n.jpg?resize=400%2C378&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/12\/600026_560399050642360_1124628221_n.jpg?w=634&amp;ssl=1 634w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>And those less expensive plans? They have the worst coverage ever with deductibles approaching $10,000 before the insurance pays anything. For many people, that means they will still lose everything, up to and including their lives.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Insurers with decades of experience and brand-new plans underestimated claims costs. <\/i><i>\u201cOur enrollees generated 24 percent more claims than we thought they would when we set our 2014 rates,\u201d said Nathan T. Johns, the chief financial officer of Arches Health Plan, which covers about one-fourth of the people who bought insurance through the federal exchange in Utah. As a result, the company said, it collected premiums of $39.7 million and had claims of $56.3 million in 2014. It has requested rate increases averaging 45 percent for 2016.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In point of fact, most of the insurance companies were big boosters for Obamacare. Why? They saw it as the perfect money tree. It would force people to buy insurance they didn&#8217;t want or need. They also failed to understand that the Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrats were also going to load up the plans with mandatory coverages that most people don&#8217;t need. And then we have this.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>Federal officials have often highlighted a provision of the Affordable Care Act that caps insurers\u2019 profits and requires them to spend at least 80 percent of premiums on medical care and related activities. \u201cBecause of the Affordable Care Act,\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/the-press-office\/2013\/07\/18\/remarks-president-affordable-care-act\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Mr. Obama told supporters in 2013<\/a>, \u201cinsurance companies have to spend at least 80 percent of every dollar that you pay in premiums on your health care \u2014 not on overhead, not on profits, but on you.\u201d<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">[youtuber youtube=&#8217;http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gbp_JQ7RxqM&#8217;]<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>In financial statements filed with the government in the last two months, some insurers said that their claims payments totaled not just 80 percent, but more than 100 percent of premiums. And that, they said, is unsustainable. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/nelson2.gif\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-14000\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/01\/nelson2.gif?resize=300%2C217\" alt=\"nelson2\" width=\"300\" height=\"217\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><i>At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota, for example, the ratio of claims paid to premium revenues was more than 115 percent, and the company said it lost more than $135 million on its individual insurance business in 2014. \u201cBased on first-quarter results,\u201d it said, \u201cthe year-end deficit for 2015 individual business is expected to be significantly higher.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That&#8217;s what you get when you sell your soul to Marxists. You thought that your pals Obama, Pelosi and Reid were going to turn on the money spigot and pour huge amounts of cash into your bank account. There will be the \u201cCadillac Tax\u201d on plans that really take care of people and are liked by their buyers. A lot of those are handled by Unions. Funny thing. They were the biggest boosters after the Insurance companies for Obamacare and once they saw how they were going to get hit, have demanded, and received \u201cSpecial waivers.\u201d Those waivers will come to an end and so will those plans as they become unaffordable to maintain.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/union-thug-300x207.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9119\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/union-thug-300x207.jpg?resize=300%2C207\" alt=\"union-thug-300x207\" width=\"300\" height=\"207\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/union-thug-300x207.jpg?resize=300%2C207&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/union-thug-300x207.jpg?resize=150%2C103&amp;ssl=1 150w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>These rate increase requests are going to continue for a very simple reason. Obamacare and federal intervention in the healthcare market has destroyed any efficiencies that businesses had made in finding decent coverage. The mandates and regulations, always pushed through to \u201cHelp us,\u201d have made things a lot worse.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/reagan-govt.jpg\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-7521\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/reagan-govt-300x300.jpg?resize=300%2C300\" alt=\"Ronald Reagan on Government\" width=\"300\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/reagan-govt.jpg?resize=300%2C300&amp;ssl=1 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/reagan-govt.jpg?resize=150%2C150&amp;ssl=1 150w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/reagan-govt.jpg?resize=400%2C400&amp;ssl=1 400w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/04\/reagan-govt.jpg?w=600&amp;ssl=1 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The next phase will be the outright nationalization of the entire medical industry, making anyone who works in the medical fields government employees. When that happens, it won&#8217;t be just a collapse, it will be an implosion. You will see doctors and nurses quit the medical field entirely and those that remain will be overworked, underpaid and generally incompetent. Think of what is happening with the Veterans Administration. That will be what happens to the healthcare system in a few years unless Obamacare is finally killed.
