For those living in a cave, allow me to provide a little background. During the Benghazi investigation, it came out that Clinton was not using the secure State Department email system, but rather her own personal email server. This server was not secured, and was not being backed up. When it came out that she had this server, she promptly had it formatted down and destroyed all evidence of her actions.<\/p>\n
The only problem with this, was that the committee has been able to locate the recipients of the email along with the headers, (The addressing mechanism used to route email over the internet), and has begun recovering it. Rather then come clean, Hillary doubled down on her denials. Here are some of the details from Fox News:<\/p>\n Hillary Clinton told reporters Saturday that she never sent or received classified information using her private e-mail server when she served as secretary of state, and that the facts on the issue “are pretty clear.” “I am confident that I never sent or received any information that was classified at the time it was sent and received,” Clinton said. “What I think you’re seeing here is a very typical kind of discussion, to some extent disagreement among various parts of the government, over what should or should not be publicly released.” <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Why yes, they are. So much so that the Inspector General of the Intelligence community<\/a> referred the matter to the FBI for criminal investigation. I’m guessing Hillary was to busy not answering questions on the campaign trail to notice this.<\/p>\n Clinton reiterated that she wanted the emails in question to be made public as soon as possible, and expressed no opinion as to whether the Department of Justice should investigate.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Actually, no she doesn’t. If she did, she would have turned over her server to computer forensic specialists who would have recovered everything that had gone through that box. Instead, she had it destroyed. As you would expect, the GOP political class jumped on Cankles denials.<\/p>\n \u201cHillary Clinton can’t help but continue to mislead the American people,” RNC spokesman Michael Short said in the statement. “The facts are clear: independent government investigators found that Hillary Clinton possessed information that was classified at the time on her secret email server and now the matter has been referred to the FBI.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n “Hillary Clinton’s reckless attempt to get around public records laws has jeopardized our national security.\u201d <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Of that there is no question. Cankles has a long and sordid history when it comes to hiding or destroying records that could be used against her. Her server, which was not in a secure location, was probably hacked within minutes of a foreign power discovering it existed. Securing computer systems is not easy, as the Office of Personnel Management recently discovered<\/a>.<\/p>\n One of the major issues with Cankles private server is the Benghazi debacle. Congress has been trying to get to the bottom of that for several years, and since Clinton wasn’t using the State Department’s email system, tracking the messages she sent and received is a lot tougher.<\/p>\n Clinton used the server and private email for official business that included some exchanges about the Sept. 11, 2012, attacks on a U.S. outpost in Benghazi.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n And that is also coming back to bite her in her very ample ass.<\/p>\n The investigation into the deaths of the U.S. ambassador and the three others has grown into a political fight over Clinton’s emails and private server and risks overshadowing her 2016 presidential campaign.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n And now, as I mentioned above, several Inspectors General have referred this to the Department of Justice for further investigation.<\/p>\n The inspector general of the U.S. intelligence community on Friday alerted the Justice Department to the potential compromise of classified information arising from Clinton’s server.<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The IG also sent a memo to members of Congress indicating that “potentially hundreds of classified emails” were among the 30,000 that Clinton had provided to the State Department — a concern the office said it raised with FBI counterintelligence officials. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n Of course, the weasel words and pull backs began almost immediately.<\/p>\n Though the referral to the Justice Department does not seek a criminal probe and does not specifically target Clinton, the latest steps by government investigators will further fuel the partisan furor surrounding the 55,000 pages of emails the State Department already has under review. <\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n The only reason to refer this to the Justice Department is if the IG’s think that a criminal case is possible. Considering that they went after General Petraeus for giving classified information to one person, (Who, if I recall correctly, didn’t pass it on to anyone else, but I am not up on that case), letting Hillary Clinton walk would be a slap in the face to the entire nation. Whatever you might say about Petraeus, he did put his life on the line and did turn things around in Iraq. What’s Cankles done? Used her office to enrich herself it seems.<\/p>\n I would be very surprised if The Obama Department of InJustice actually indicted Hillary Rodham Clinton, especially during the campaign. However, there is no love lost between the Clintons and the Obama regime, so it is entirely possible they might go after her. One reason why would be to make sure the Clintons never get back into the White House. If they did, I don’t doubt they will go after Obama and all his thugs and cronies.
