Well, it turns out that wasn’t the case. The Military knew very quickly what the situation was and started \u201cSpinning up\u201d forces to rescue everyone in the consulate. Here are the details from Fox News:<\/p>\n
As the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was unfolding, a high-ranking Pentagon official urgently messaged Secretary of State Hillary Clinton\u2019s top deputies to offer military help, according to an email obtained by Judicial Watch. <\/b><\/p>\n
The revelation appears to contradict testimony Defense Secretary Leon Panetta gave lawmakers in 2013, when he said there was no time to get forces to the scene in Libya, where four Americans were killed, including U.S. Ambassador to Libya Christopher Stevens. <\/b><\/p>\n
\u201cI just tried you on the phone but you were all in with S [apparent reference to then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton],\u201d reads the email, from Panetta\u2019s chief of staff Jeremy Bash. \u201cAfter consulting with General Dempsey, General Ham and the Joint Staff, we have identified the forces that could move to Benghazi. They are spinning up as we speak.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n As we know, the security teams held out for a good 8 hours, which would have provided plenty of time to get fighter aircraft into the area. Even if all they had were fuel tanks and air to air missiles, they could have strafed the Al Qaeda terrorists and forced them back from the buildings. They also would have been able to take out the mortar teams that were shelling the consulate.<\/p>\n The email was sent out at 7:19 p.m. ET on Sept. 11, 2012, in the early stages of the eight-hour siege that also claimed the lives of Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith and two former Navy SEALs, Ty Woods and Glen Doherty, private CIA contractors who raced to the aid of embattled State Department workers. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThis leaves no doubt military assets were offered and ready to go, and awaiting State Department signoff, which did not come,\u201d Judicial Watch, a nonprofit government watchdog said in a statement. <\/b><\/p>\n Which also leaves no doubt that Panetta, Clinton and Obama lied through their teeth, up to and including committing perjury.<\/p>\n In defending the Obama administration\u2019s lack of a military response to the attack, Panetta told the Senate Armed Services Committee nearly two years ago that \u201ctime, distance, the lack of an adequate warning, events that moved very quickly on the ground prevented a more immediate response.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n The lack of response isn’t at all surprising. I won’t go into the rumors about Clinton arranging for weapons to be smuggled to Syria. I’ve heard them but haven’t looked into it at all. However, since we have a pussy for a president who absolutely will not do anything about Islamic Terrorism, the responses on the Libyan debacle aren’t surprising. What is surprising, at least to me, is that the various committees have had this information for some time and haven’t hammered Cankles or King Putt with it.<\/p>\n Lawmakers investigating the events surrounding Benghazi already had acquired the e-mail, along with tens of thousands of others related to the probe, according to Matt Wolking, spokesman for the House Select Committee on Benghazi. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe Select Committee has obtained and reviewed tens of thousands of documents in the course of its thorough, fact-centered investigation into the Benghazi terrorist attacks, and this information will be detailed in the final report the Committee hopes to release within the next few months,” Wolking told FoxNews.com. “While the Committee does not rush to release or comment on every document it uncovers, I can confirm that we obtained the unredacted version of this email last year, in addition to Jake Sullivan\u2019s response.” <\/b><\/p>\n Why hasn’t this been turned over to the Department of Justice? Panetta lied to the congress while UNDER OATH! People are in prison for doing this. I suspect that, as is always the case, nothing is going to be done. I now have a formal question to ask the candidates on the Republican side. (It would be a waste of time asking the Democrats)<\/p>\n \u201cIf there is hard evidence that members of the Obama administration lied under oath to congress, will your administration prosecute them, no matter how high up or important these people are?\u201d<\/p>\n I think if asked, Trump will say yes. I suspect that Cruz will as well, along with Carson and Fiorina. The others? Yeah, right.
