Good day all. The other day, a story came out on how the various gun control organizations think it would be a great idea to have police kill anyone carrying a gun.<\/p>\n

Their idea is to call the police if they see someone who is carrying a gun, either open carry, (The gun holstered and in plain view), or concealed. This has already been done several times and has resulted in at least one innocent person being killed. Here are the details from Fox News:<\/p>\n

Second Amendment groups are accusing the gun control lobby of putting law-abiding owners of firearms in danger by urging people to call the police on anyone carrying a gun in public. As more states relax rules about open-carrying of guns, the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence has taken to social media to urge the public to assume gun-toters are trouble, and to call the cops on anyone they feel may be a threat. <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"The<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cIf you see someone carrying a firearm in public\u2014openly or concealed\u2014and have ANY doubts about their intent, call 911 immediately and ask police to come to the scene,\u201d the group wrote on its widely followed Facebook page. \u201cNever put your safety, or the safety of your loved ones, at the mercy of weak gun laws that arm individuals in public with little or no criminal and\/or mental health screening.\u201d <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

What these morons are calling for is, to put it bluntly, illegal. They might be saying \u201cOh I see a gun! I’m afraid! Call the police and lie through your teeth.\u201d People who are carrying are not a threat. The gun is just sitting there, and the owner might have his or her hand filled with groceries. That means nothing to the Moonbats of course. It’s also highly dangerous to the citizen as well as to the police who are responding to the call.<\/p>\n

That approach, according to a blog post<\/a> by Ohio-based Buckeye Firearms Association, could give rise to needless, tense confrontations between police and gun owners. The association and other similar groups liken the tactic to \u201cswatting,\u201d or the act of tricking an emergency service into dispatching responders based on a false report. Many online harassment campaigns have been known to participate in the practice. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cThis practice is exactly what they [Coalition to Stop Gun Violence] are doing,\u201d said Erich Pratt, spokesman for Virginia-based Gun Owners of America. \u201cIt\u2019s one thing if someone is using a gun in an illegal or unlawful manner. No one is questioning that. But this clearly sounds like swatting.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n

While Swatting isn’t as commonplace as it was a few years ago, it still happens. When a Swat team rolls out, they are in a heightened state of alert and this can and has caused tragedies. A few years ago, a blogger and Assistant District Attorney in Los Angeles known as Patterico<\/a>, was swatted. Fortunately, nothing serious happened, but it could have gone seriously sideways, which was the intent of the call.<\/p>\n

Basically, someone was trying to kill Patterico and wanted the police to be the executioners. This is what the Gun Grabbers want to happen to citizens who are carrying. They want them dead. The reason why is simple. They’ve lost the debate on the Second Amendment.<\/p>\n

Pratt adds that it may be a move of desperation by those looking to get guns off the streets. <\/b>\u201cAnti-gun advocates are clearly frustrated. They want guns banned,\u201d he said. \u201cBut they have been thwarted in the past, so they are looking for alternative means. \u201cThey are inciting their radical base to turn their own neighbors in.\u201d<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Gun-Control\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The main issue that gun advocates have with the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence’s tactics is the potential of putting law-abiding citizens in real danger. Officials for the anti-gun group say that this is not the case. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cIn an era in which individuals are being allowed to carry loaded guns on our streets with no permit, background check or required training, it is common sense for concerned citizens to call 911 when they see an armed individual whose intentions are unclear,\u201d Ladd Everitt, director of communications for the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence said in a statement to FoxNews.com. \u201cThese [open carry] laws guarantee that we\u2014and law enforcement\u2014will have no idea about the criminal and\/or mental health background of these individuals until they actually commit a crime; and by then it could be far too late. We have full confidence in our men and women in blue to assess these situations.<\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cGun-toters who are truly law-abiding and mentally competent have nothing whatsoever to worry about. Their conversations with law enforcement will be brief and professional,\u201d he added. \u201cAs for those who are dangerous and have something to hide which would not withstand the scrutiny of a background check or permitting process, they should expect to face some tough questions as a result of these 911 calls. And that makes us all safer.\u201d<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\"Gunny<\/a><\/p>\n

These scum, and there is no other way to describe them, would fit in perfectly with any totalitarian government. Their hatred of the Second Amendment, and really, that’s what it is, is so deep that they literally have no problem making a false police report that could lead to a violent confrontation.<\/p>\n

But the Buckeye Firearms Association believes the effort amounts to “conspiring to obstruct legal justice.\u201d Pratt agreed, and said people who call the police without legitimate reason should be charged. \u201cThey would likely be the ones arrested for filing a false report,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd we are certainly hoping that would be the case.\u201d <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I would go one further. If this leads to a violent confrontation, with injuries or deaths, then the caller should be prosecuted for attempted murder, or of someone is killed, first degree murder. Perhaps a few of these nuts getting some serious \u201cvacation\u201d time in a nice \u201cPound you in the ass\u201d prison will put a stop to this stupid idea.<\/p>\n
