Good day all. In the latest dumb idea category, we have a new high in low intelligence, courtesy of the Washington D.C Central Committee<\/i><\/span> Council.<\/p>\n

These morons passed a bill to pay people not to commit crimes. Yes, you heard me, they want to give people money for not being criminals. Here are the details from Associated Press:<\/p>\n

They say crime doesn’t pay, but that might not be entirely true in the District of Columbia as lawmakers look for ways to discourage people from becoming repeat offenders.<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Discouraging criminals from committing more crimes is always a good idea. I find that execution cuts recidivism by 100 percent. Is this what the City Council has in mind? Not by a long shot.<\/p>\n

The D.C. Council voted unanimously Tuesday to approve a bill that includes a proposal to pay residents a stipend not to commit crimes. It’s based on a program in Richmond, California, that advocates say has contributed to deep reductions in crime there.<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Do you know what Washington D.C. and Richmond, California<\/a> have in common? First, they are gun free zones, so criminals don’t have to worry about getting their heads blown off. Second, both cities are run by Moronic Moonbats.<\/p>\n

Under the bill, city officials would identify up to 200 people a year who are considered at risk of either committing or becoming victims of violent crime. Those people would be directed to participate in behavioral therapy and other programs. If they fulfill those obligations and stay out of trouble, they would be paid.<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I have a much better idea. Instead of bribing these criminals not to commit crimes, why not raise the risk verses reward levels? You know, end these unconstitutional gun control measures and let the honest citizens simple mow down these thugs when they look at them sideways.<\/p>\n

The bill doesn’t specify the value of the stipends, but participants in the California program receive up to $9,000 per year.<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

There is a lot more to the article, mostly trying to justify this stupidity. However, there was some dissent.<\/p>\n

Longtime civic activist Dorothy Brizill was the only person to testify against the stipend program at a lengthy hearing last fall, saying it would waste taxpayer dollars. <\/b>“These incentive programs don’t work,” Brizill said Tuesday.<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Correct, they don’t. It’s called \u201cDanegeld<\/a>,\u201d and it didn’t work with the Vikings and it isn’t going to work here. The most efficient way to cut crime is to simply shoot criminals during the commission of said crime. Dead criminals are always and completely reformed…Into worm food.<\/p>\n
