It didn\u2019t work out that way. Trump basically ran the table. He took 45 percent of the vote and the Rubot came in second, more than 20 points behind him. Cruz was about 2 percent behind Rubot for another third place finish.<\/p>\n
The reports I\u2019ve been seeing indicate that the turnout was massive. Over 75K ballots were cast, and I understand there were more first time voters than the total number of votes in 2012. Trump pretty much won across the board including Hispanics, the one group Rubot and Cruz were both counting on.<\/p>\n The GOP Establishment is now moving into blind panic mode. The insults they are throwing at Trump show their desperation. The original \u201cGreat White Hope\u201d so to speak, was Jeb Bush. They showered him with millions of dollars and assumed that he would simply breeze through the primaries and be crowned as the nominee. Bush spent an average of about $30 million dollars for each delegate he won.<\/p>\n After Bush pulled out last weekend, the GOP(e) started looking around. John Kasich would have been their preferred candidate, but other than a distant 2nd<\/sup> place finish in New Hampshire, his campaign hasn\u2019t amounted to a hill of beans. Cruz was a non-starter since the GOP(e) hates him as much as they hate Trump. Dr. Carson is a nice guy, but also not \u201cOne of us\u201d as far as the Country Club set of the GOP(e) was concerned. That left Marco the Rubot.<\/p>\n Marco the Rubot hasn\u2019t one a single primary or caucus. Trump hasn\u2019t paid much attention to him, letting the other RINO\u2019s and Ted Cruz blast him. Marco the Rubot was pretty much crushed by Governor Christie in the debate prior to the South Carolina primary. (Which saw Christie pull the eject lever)<\/p>\n By rights, the GOP should abandon Marco the Rubot, but they can\u2019t. He, like Obi-Wan Kenobi, is their only hope. This time, the GOP(e) Alliance is going to lose when the Trumpstar and shoots Marco the Rubot down in the Super Tuesday primaries next week. (Did you like my Star Wars analog?)<\/p>\n Trump is favored to win most, if not all of the Primaries March 1st<\/sup>. If he does, and Rubot and Cruz split second and third place, it\u2019s essentially all over and Trump will be the nominee. If\/when that happens, the GOP(e) is going to go absolutely berserk.<\/p>\n The pundits have been talking about a brokered convention for the last month or so, mostly as an exercise in having something to talk about. Now the GOP Establishment is actually looking for a way to do just that, have a brokered convention so they can keep Donald Trump out and put yet another wishy washy, spineless RINO on the ticket. They might give the nod to Marco the Rubot, John Kasich or even do a draft of Jeb Bush. They\u2019ve even talked about drafting Mittens Romney.<\/p>\n I can safely say that if the GOP does force Trump out, we\u2019re looking at President Cankles Clinton and in all probability, the collapse of Constitutional government in the Unites States. You will definitely see the end of the Republican party and the probable start of a new party to replace them, much as happened in the 1800\u2019s when the Whig party<\/a> collapsed and the Republican Party came into existence. The Whigs collapsed due to the issue of Slavery.<\/p>\n The Republican party could collapse due to the size and power of the Federal government and the open borders the RINO\u2019s and their masters in the Chamber of Commerce like so much. I know I won\u2019t vote for another RINO. I\u2019ll write someone in. There\u2019s no way I\u2019ll vote for Cankles or Comrade Bernie. This is what the GOP(e) and their pet pundits on networks like Fox just aren\u2019t getting. People are not just angry, they are enraged.
