We\u2019ve already had a couple of her cronies either refuse to answer questions in or take the 5th<\/sup> Amendment. Most of them have been given a pass, until now. Here are the details from Reuters<\/a>:<\/p>\n A federal judge ruled on Tuesday that U.S. State Department officials and aides to Hillary Clinton should be questioned under oath about whether the former secretary of state’s use of a private email system was an effort to skirt open records laws.<\/b><\/p>\n Oh that should be fun. Can you just see the squirming?<\/p>\n The ruling by U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan is likely to add to the uncertainty hovering over Clinton, the front-runner for the Democratic nomination for the November U.S. presidential election, about the legal consequences of her decision to exclusively use a private email server in her New York home for her government work.<\/b><\/p>\n Now a little bit of information. The judge in this case? He was appointed by Cankles husband, Bill \u201cThe Silver Zipper\u201d Clinton.<\/p>\n The State Department and Judicial Watch, the conservative watchdog group that sought the depositions as it sues for records about the employment of a senior Clinton aide, must agree on a plan for the depositions by April, Sullivan said in his order on Tuesday, according to court documents. <\/b><\/p>\n I\u2019m not at all familiar with how these proceedings work. Why is a plan needed? I would have thought that the subpoena is served and then it\u2019s just a matter of scheduling the witnesses. Or is it due to the State Department\u2019s recalcitrance regarding providing any information that might get Cankles tossed into a nice federal penitentiary? Also, why is the judge granting this motion?<\/p>\n Sullivan, a judge in federal court in Washington, D.C., said there was at least “a reasonable suspicion” that open records laws were undermined, the Washington Post reported.<\/b><\/p>\n Gee, you think? I wonder whatever gave him that idea?<\/p>\n Sullivan, who was appointed by Clinton’s husband, former President Bill Clinton, said he may order the department to subpoena Clinton to return all records connected to her private email server, the newspaper reported.<\/b><\/p>\n And I\u2019m sure the State Department will jump on that with the same efficiency and desire to help that they have provided to various congressional investigative committees and the FBI.<\/p>\n Judicial Watch told the court it wanted to get sworn testimony from several senior State Department officials and Clinton associates who set up or knew about the system or dealt with requests from the public for copies of Clinton’s records, according to court documents.<\/b><\/p>\n They aren\u2019t alone in wanting this information either. I think there are a few members of the house and senate, along with a few federal investigators who might want this data as well.<\/p>\n That could include Patrick Kennedy, the department’s under secretary for management, and Cheryl Mills, Clinton’s former chief of staff at the department, among others, the group said. In a statement to the media, the group said it may later seek to have Clinton testify under oath.<\/b><\/p>\n And this is where the fun begins! If I am understanding things correctly, Mills and a few others have already refused to testify, or in some cases have used their 5th<\/sup> Amendment rights to avoid incriminating themselves. I think they would continue to do so in this case, and I don\u2019t believe they could be forced to give testimony that could later be used against them in a criminal case. However, I will bow to superior knowledge on this from those in the legal profession.<\/p>\n The State Department said it was reviewing the order but could not comment further on ongoing litigation.<\/b><\/p>\n They have no comment probably due to the whole bunch of them running around in a blind panic.<\/p>\n The department may appeal the ruling.<\/b><\/p>\n Oh I can say that will be a safe bet to make. After all, the only hope these people have is a Hillary Clinton administration and her ability to pardon everyone, as well as have all those who look like a threat to her fired, or have mysterious accidents or sudden illnesses.<\/p>\n Clinton, who apologized last year for the setup, believes at least some of the inquiries into her emails are politically motivated.<\/b><\/p>\n And here we go with her favorite mantra, \u201cThe Vast Right Wing Conspiracy!\u201d<\/p>\n “This is one of several lawsuits filed by the same right-wing group, which will stop at nothing in pursuing the Clintons, just as they have done since the 1990s,” Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill said in an email.<\/b><\/p>\n Could it be that they are pursuing the Clintons because the Clintons are utterly corrupt? Naah, that can\u2019t be the reason. No, it must be due to them not liking such a wonderful pair of human beings.<\/p>\n I\u2019ve been involved in an argument via Disqus with a Clinton rumpswab on the Washington Times web site over this case. This person is claiming that since no charges have been filed, none ever will be and that Hillary Clinton is utterly innocent. Also that this is nothing less that a smear attempt by the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy, and that it\u2019s all Bush\u2019s fault in any case. In other words, a typical Moonbat.<\/p>\n Personally, I think the investigation on the legal side, (As opposed to the civil side which is the point of this post), is probably going to come to a conclusion in the next month or so. The civil case is a different matter and operates under different laws and rules. How and when this will end is anyone\u2019s guess. Even if the Evil Cankled One somehow sleazes her way into office, there really isn\u2019t all that much she can do to shut down the civil suits. The worst case scenario for Hillary would be evidence so overwhelming that both sides of the aisle come together and impeach, then remove her from office.
