Good day all. I saw this story last night just before I signed off. According to CNN<\/a>, some of Marco the Rubot\u2019s advisers are telling him it\u2019s time to pull the plug on his run for the Republican presidential nomination.<\/p>\n

Marco the Rubot has won only a single primary, and that wasn\u2019t even a state. Puerto Rico is a territory. Rubot recently became the new \u201cRepublican Establishment\u201d Fair Haired Boy, (So to speak), after their prior fair haired boy, Jeb Bush, cratered after blowing $150 million dollars. Now he is behind in his own state of Florida, and will probably lose to either Donald Trump or Ted Cruz. If that happens, it\u2019s all over for the Rubot politically. Here are a few details from the CNN Story<\/a>:<\/p>\n

A battle is being waged within Florida Sen. Marco Rubio<\/a>‘s campaign about whether he should even remain in the Republican presidential race ahead of his home state primary on March 15<\/a>, sources say. <\/b>Rubio himself is “bullish” on his odds of winning the critical primary, despite some advisers who are less hopeful and believe a loss there would damage him politically in both the short- and long-term. <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The fact of the matter regarding Rubio\u2019s fall in Florida is simple. He outright lied to the Tea Party groups that helped him win the primary and the election. When he ran, he announced that he did not support amnesty for illegal aliens and wanted the borders secured. (Although he had supported amnesty in the legislature) Once he was in the senate, he couldn\u2019t wait to hope on board UpChuck Schumer\u2019s amnesty plan. That disaster was one reason he decided not to seek reelection to his senate seat. The odds were he would lose and badly.<\/p>\n

Publicly, the campaign is maintaining they are still a contender in this race, touting a Sunday win in Puerto Rico’s primary<\/a> that delivered Rubio 23 delegates. But privately, the campaign is having a debate about whether he should remain in the mix — even for his home state of Florida’s primary. <\/b>“He doesn’t want to get killed in his home state,” one source familiar with the discussions said, noting “a poor showing would be a risk and hurt his political future.” <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It loss in Florida would end Rubio\u2019s political career. Right now, he might be able to run for governor in a couple of years, but if he gets his head handed to him next week, he\u2019s a political dead letter. Of course, the public comments deny that any such discussions regarding Rubot\u2019s bailing out are happening.<\/p>\n

Alex Conant, Rubio’s communication director, said the report of such an internal debate is “100% false.” “That is fiction,” he told CNN’s Wolf Blitzer on “The Situation Room.” “I was sitting in a senior staff meeting planning out next week’s schedule when I saw this report suddenly air and I came racing across town to correct it,” he added.<\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sources within the campaign also say the pressure will only continue to mount following an expected disappointing showing Tuesday, when voters in Michigan, Mississippi, Hawaii and Idaho make their picks in the GOP primary. “Not going to have a great day is an understatement,” one campaign source said. <\/b><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rubio has no chance of winning the nomination unless it\u2019s handed to him by the GOP(e) at a brokered convention. If that occurs, you can basically kiss the Republican Party goodbye. The probable nominee will be either Trump or Cruz. Rubio should have withdrawn after Super Tuesday. Now he is facing utter humiliation and the end of his political career.<\/p>\n
