The homespun memorial painted on a block-long wall on Pacific Avenue lists the names of American service members missing in action or otherwise unaccounted for in Southeast Asia.<\/b><\/p>\n The link to KCAL has a report on the damage done to the memorial and it is disgusting what these punks did. I expect they think it was great fun, but I wonder how they\u2019ll feel if someone who was affected by this gets hold of them instead of the police and reimages their teeth…all over the ground?<\/p>\n News of the vandalism came as another veterans-related memorial was reported damaged in Henderson, Kentucky. Police say a Memorial Day cross display there that honors the names of 5,000 veterans of conflicts dating back to the Revolutionary War has been damaged by a driver who plowed through the crosses early Saturday. <\/b><\/p>\n In this one they caught the scumbag who did this. Here are some of the details from 44News:<\/p>\n Henderson Police say they know who drove a car through the city\u2019s Memorial Day display. 27 year old Anthony Burrus was taken into custody and charged with criminal mischief and leaving the scene of an accident. <\/b><\/p>\n Investigators say when they found Burrus\u2019s car at a nearby McDonald\u2019s it still had pieces of the crosses and ground stake embedded in the tires. They also say Burrus has denied running his car through the display. He says he left his car at the restaurant because the car quit running.<\/b><\/p>\n This prize winning idiot is no stranger to law enforcement. I found a copy of his mugshot<\/a> from another arrest when he was 18. Yes, he\u2019s probably a paid up<\/i><\/span> deadbeat member of Black Lives, (But no one else’s), Matter. With a bit of luck, he will be put in a cell with someone who was in the military and who will introduce his face to the bars….over and over again.<\/p>\n In Virginia, the Petersburg National Battlefield has apparently has been looted, the National Park Service said. Numerous excavations were found at the Civil War battlefield last week, Jeffrey Olson, and agency spokesman, said in a news release Friday. Petersburg National Battlefield is a 2,700-acre park marks where more than 1,000 Union and Confederate soldiers died fighting during the Siege of Petersburg 151 years ago. <\/b><\/p>\n This one is a little different from the first two. This looks like plain old robbery rather than intentional desecration of a memorial. There are local details from WTVR in Richmond<\/a>. The criminals were after things like spent bullets, anything that might have been dropped or blown off the soldiers during the battle, such as buttons or badges.<\/p>\n Apparently there is a market for this stuff from collectors, but I can\u2019t see any real collector knowingly buying artifacts looted from a protected national park. Eventually, whoever did this will try to sell what they found, if anything, and then they will get to spend a few years as the guests of the taxpayers.<\/p>\n These incidents, along with actions by the American UnCivil Liberties Union and other left wing anti-American groups serve only to hurt those left behind. Currently, the members of the Greatest Generation, soldiers who served in World War 2, are passing away. Far to soon there will be none left. Korean and Vietnam veterans are also starting to leave this mortal coil, and we will be poorer for their passing.<\/p>\n It is currently raining out where Anger Central is located.
