Good day all. Last week a small boy somehow got into a gorilla enclosure and was being dragged around by a gorilla named Harambe. The zookeepers decided that the only way to protect the boy was to shoot the gorilla.<\/p>\n

As you might have guessed, the animal rights nuts are on the warpath. Here are some of the details on the termination with extreme prejudiced of Harambe from Fox News<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The director of the zoo where a 4-year-old boy fell into a moat that housed a silverback gorilla Saturday said he stands by the decision to kill the 400-pound animal. <\/b><\/p>\n

\u201cWe stand by our decision, and we\u2019d make the same call today,\u201d Thane Maynard, director of the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden, said at a press conference Monday. He added that people who second-guess the decision \u201cengage in Monday-morning quarterbacking and do not understand primate biology.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

Good for Mr. Maynard, Do not let the anti-human no-nothings push you around. These morons literally will put a cockroach ahead of a child and have stated as much. Now for the rest of us, here\u2019s why the zoo made the decision to blow away the gorilla rather than try and dart him.<\/p>\n

The silverback gorilla, named Harambe, was \u201cclearly agitated and clearly disoriented\u201d and \u201cacting erratically\u201d Maynard said when the zoo\u2019s dangerous-animal response team was called in to kill the primate.<\/b><\/p>\n

There are also a number of videos of the gorilla manhandling, or should I say \u201cmonkeyhandling\u201d the 4 year old.<\/p>\n

Video of the incident shows the boy being dragged by Harambe. The boy was being dragged around and his head was hitting the concrete, Maynard said.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Now for those of you who are part of the no nothing crowd, gorillas such as this one outweighed that boy by easily 10 to 1. Also, the Great Apes, such as gorillas are significantly stronger than humans, making it to dangerous to go into the cage and make a grab for the boy.<\/p>\n

Maynard stressed that the boy was in danger, and said that you cannot take a chance with a silverback. Maynard told a story of seeing Harambe crush a coconut with one hand. In detailing the primate\u2019s massive structure, he said Harambe\u2019s arms were similar to human beings\u2019 legs.<\/b><\/p>\n

And so, bubye Harambe, been nice to know ya. Of course, the usual suspects, who should all have a net thrown over them and locked up for everyone\u2019s protection, are blaming the parents for their son getting into the enclosure.<\/p>\n

Witness Kim O’Connor told WLWT-TV<\/a> she heard the boy say he wanted to get in the water with the gorillas. She said the boy’s mother was with several other young children. <\/b><\/p>\n

“The mother’s like, ‘No, you’re not. No, you’re not,'” O’Connor said. <\/b><\/p>\n

And as anyone who has children will tell you, kids will do seriously stupid things no matter what their parents say or do. Obviously, I don\u2019t know all the details, but it sounds like his mother was also dealing with other children and expected her son to understand that no means no. As soon as the kid hit the water the trainers issued a command to tell the gorillas to go into their \u201chouse.\u201d<\/p>\n

After the child fell into the area that houses the primates, the zoo\u2019s gorilla trainers gave the animals a special signal that calls them back inside. Maynard said while the female gorillas responded to the call, Harambe was distracted by the events and did not respond.<\/b><\/p>\n

And without a doubt they kept giving the command right up until the trigger was pulled. Afterward, the stupidity began.<\/p>\n

Since the gorilla’s death, the hashtag #JusticeForHarambe is trending on Twitter and a petition has been launched calling for “the parents to be held accountable for the lack of supervision and negligence that caused Harambe to lose his life.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n

And every one of those signers should be reeducated with a large blunt object. I expect repeated blows from the \u201cBoard of Education\u201d will be required to get their attention.<\/p>\n

Lt. Steve Saunders, a Cincinnati police spokesman, said there are no plans to charge the parents.<\/b><\/p>\n

About the only thing that will be investigated is how that kid got inside. Obviously he found some sort of weak spot the no one else saw, but then, if you want to find something like that, tell it to a child and tell them not to do it. I understand that\u2019s how the FBI got into that Iphone the California terrorists had.<\/p>\n

The boy is fine and the parents are dealing with this. They know how tough it was for the zoo to make the decision to kill the gorilla. A number of idiots have asked why the gorilla wasn\u2019t darted with a tranquilizer. The reason is simple. Unlike movies, it takes time for those drugs to act and those darts hurt. Hit the gorilla with one and he might just get angry and rip the kid apart. A tough call, but the zoo, unlike PETA and the other animal rights wackos know that when it comes right down to it, people come first.<\/p>\n
