This time, it isn\u2019t just the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment, but the 5th<\/sup> Amendment as well. I\u2019ve already gone into that to some extent<\/a> and may revisit it down the road. No, what I\u2019m talking about is the number of people who are part of the LGBT community who have decided that they need to take measures to protect themselves, and also, are beginning to think that voting for Donald Trump may be a big step in the right direction.<\/p>\n Needless to say, among the Social Justice Warriors, the Progressive Liberal Democrats and a significant number of the LGBT community, this is considered heresy of the highest order. For the last year, since Trump started gaining in the polls, these groups have accused Trump of being a racist, a misogynist, and anti-Gay. Those in the LGBT community who have decided to dump Cankles and support Trump are worried that their physical safety may be at risk. Here are some of the details from NBC News<\/a>:<\/p>\n Following Sunday’s (June 12th<\/sup>) mass shooting at an Orlando gay bar, presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has voiced – and tweeted – his support for the LGBTQ community. And some in the community have expressed their support for Trump. <\/b><\/p>\n “He’s the most pro-gay nominee that the party has ever had for president,” according to Gregory T. Angelo, president of the Log Cabin Republicans<\/a>, an organization for LGBTQ people and straight allies who support the GOP. <\/b><\/p>\n LGBTQ voters, however, overwhelmingly lean Democratic. Exit polls from the 2012 election<\/a> found 76 percent of voters who identified as gay voted for Barack Obama, while only 22 percent voted for Mitt Romney. In 2014, a gallup poll<\/a> showed more than 60 percent of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender voters identified as Democrats, and a May 2016 poll found 84 percent of likely LGBTQ voters preferred<\/a> Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump.<\/b><\/p>\n Basically, they believe that the Democrats will support them, and that the Republicans are in Thrall to the Religious Right and will move to suppress them. They failed to notice that the Religious Right doesn\u2019t have the influence it once did. Still, it\u2019s hard to stop bigotry no matter which side it comes from.<\/p>\n Trump may see an opportunity to bring more LGBTQ voters into the Republican column, and recent remarks he has made signal a move to court the community. While many other Republican politicians failed to acknowledge the LGBTQ community<\/a> in their reactions to the Orlando shooting, for example, Trump was one of the few exceptions.<\/b><\/p>\n Most of the GOP(e) still think that the Religious Right holds sway. Trump acknowledges them, but isn\u2019t beholding to them.<\/p>\n A number of gay men who have decided to throw their support behind Trump told NBC OUT it has not been an easy road. Juan Hernandez, a gay and Latino member of the Log Cabin Republicans, said his support led to physical violence by anti-Trump protesters at a rally in San Jose. Images of the attack and his bloodied clothes went viral<\/a>.<\/b><\/p>\n So, now it\u2019s the Left that\u2019s bashing members of the Gay community? Why I always thought it was the Conservative Tea party groups that were always doing the gay bashing. At least that\u2019s what I\u2019ve been told by the New York Times and other leftist publications of the Mostly Stupid Media.<\/p>\n “This is politics. Debate is OK,” Hernandez said. “When you start getting violent and throwing out derogatory terms, that’s not OK.”<\/b><\/p>\n Hernandez, who switched to the GOP after realizing his views outside of LGBTQ issues were more conservative, said he was a target even before the rally in San Jose. Other members of the LGBTQ and Latino communities, he said, have singled him out for his Trump support. “They’ll email me or send me messages. They say that I’m a sellout,” he explained. <\/b><\/p>\n Eric, a 25-year-old gay Marine Corps veteran, was a Trump supporter before the Orlando shooting, but he said the attack – and the dangers he believes “radical Islam” poses to the gay community – has reinforced his support. <\/b><\/p>\n “Donald Trump has taken charge,” he said.” I’m gonna go for his stance on immigration and rebuilding the military.”<\/b><\/p>\n And, as an inactive Marine, I suspect he\u2019s firmly in the \u201cIf someone is shooting at you, shoot back!\u201d camp.<\/p>\n But while Eric is a vocal Trump supporter, he declined to provide his last name due to fear of violence or “doxxing,” the malicious publication of a private citizen’s personal information online. <\/b><\/p>\n “When you put your name out on a national level as supporting someone who attracts that much vitriol and disgust, you’re putting yourself up for doxxing … Especially for someone like me who’s considered a ‘traitor,'” added Eric, who is a member of LGBTrump, an online network for LGBTQ people who support the GOP presidential hopeful. <\/b><\/p>\n And there\u2019s the problem. The Hard Left, which includes a large number of the LGBT community are, to be blunt, very totalitarian in their views. It\u2019s not \u201cWe want you to accept us as we are.\u201d any longer, it\u2019s morphing into \u201cYou WILL accept us and give us what WE want, or else!\u201d The left, of all stripes, has decided that the use of threats and actual violence in the pursuit of their goals is perfectly fine.<\/p>\n So will gay Republicans be wearing Trump 2016 t-shirts and “Make America Great Again” hats at LGBTQ Pride events this year? Eric said it’s unlikely. <\/b><\/p>\n “It’s easy to come out of the closet,” he said. “It’s dangerous to come out as a Trump supporter.” <\/b><\/p>\n It\u2019s easier to \u201cCome out of the closet\u201d these days because most people don\u2019t care. \u201cYou\u2019re gay? Big deal. Where\u2019s that report I wanted?\u201d This is what the Left so hates. The overwhelming majority of Americans are part of the LMTFA community. What? You don\u2019t know what that stands for? Allow me to enlighten you then. It stands for L<\/strong><\/em>eave M<\/strong><\/em>e T<\/strong><\/em>he F<\/strong><\/em>uck A<\/strong><\/em>lone!<\/p>\n People in the LMFTA community don\u2019t care what you do as long as you don\u2019t bother them or their family. In may instances, if your are being threatened, they will be the first to come to your aid. This is why, in the last week, gun stores and and gun ranges have seen a large increase in the number of people from the LGBT community coming in for the first time. Are they being insulted and turned away? Nope. They are being given instructions in how to use a firearm to defend themselves from Gay Killing Terrorists from the Religion of Peace, (My Ass). Donald Trump supports the right to keep and bear arms and is a firm believer that if someone, be they an insane homicidal maniac or an Islamic Terrorist, starts shooting at you, then you shoot back.<\/p>\n The Democrats under Hillary Clinton? As far as they\u2019re concerned, if you run into that sort of situation, then all you should do is just die.
