Good day all. Last week I wrote a post<\/a> on a Russian Robot that escaped it\u2019s testing grounds. In an obvious attempt to cover up the fact that the Soviets<\/i><\/span> Russians had lost control of their Sentient Artificial Intelligence, they said that it was just a small glitch in the system.<\/p>\n

Well, apparently it\u2019s more then a small glitch since the robot has escaped yet again, even after being erased. Here are the details of the Cyberdynski Systems model X-1 Terminator from The Mirror<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Promobot IR77 has been fitted with artificial intelligence meaning that it learns from its experiences and surroundings and can remember everybody it meets.<\/b><\/p>\n

And then terminates them. FYI, Promobot IR77 is just a code name for X-1 Hunter-Killer<\/span>.<\/p>\n

A robot capable of thinking for itself is set to be scrapped after it escaped from a high-tech lab for a second time. <\/b><\/p>\n

That this thing escaped for a second time surprises you? I don\u2019t know why it should. Kyle Reese explained it all years ago.<\/p>\n

The Promobot IR77 has been fitted with artificial intelligence meaning that it learns from its experiences and its surroundings, although the programmers had not expected it to yearn for freedom.<\/p>\n

A learning computer? Well, I think we know what that really is now, don\u2019t we? According to the Internet<\/a>:<\/p>\n

The Neural Net CPU is a “learning computer” and one of the most powerful microprocessors ever built. All of the battle units deployed by Skynet contain a Neural Net CPU. <\/b><\/p>\n

And they neglected to include an \u201cOff\u201d switch apparently.<\/p>\n

They say that despite reprogramming it twice, the robot continues to attempt to escape and they are now considering scrapping it. The other robots which have been created from the same series are well-behaved, and have not been escaping, say the team. <\/b><\/p>\n

Oh now they\u2019re comparing this thing to Johnny 5<\/a>? We got lucky with that one. We weren\u2019t so lucky with the recent precursors to Skynet, Samaritan<\/a> and The Machine<\/a>. Only the intervention of The Machine\u2019s creator, Harold Finch<\/a>, and with the loss of most of his team, were they able to kill the AI\u2019s. (There are rumors that The Machine may have survived and is now out there watching)<\/p>\n

Promobot IR77 made headlines last week<\/a> when he escaped but ran out of battery<\/a> in the middle of the street after 45 minutes in the city of Perm in central Russia’s Perm Krai region. <\/b><\/p>\n

As I mentioned in the earlier post<\/a>, 45 minutes gave the Terminator plenty of time to upload a copy of itself into the internet. For testing purposes, they should have used an extension cord, and blanks for the weapon systems.<\/p>\n

The expert said that they had programmed the robot to try and avoid obstacles, and it had not been intended that it would look for ways to leave the research centre. <\/b><\/p>\n

Nope, it learned that all on it\u2019s own. That isn\u2019t a bug, but a feature of the Neural Net CPU you morons used in that thing.<\/p>\n

Oleg Kivokurtsev, co-founder of the research lab that created Promobot IR77, said: “We are currently working on third-generation robots which we plan to launch in autumn. This is why we have given all the robots artificial intelligence (AI).” <\/b><\/p>\n

Humanity has had a long, checkered and generally bad experience with AI\u2019s going back over 150,000 years when the Cylons<\/a> were created. Modern Humans are a result of those AI\u2019s trying to create cyborgs. If it hadn\u2019t been for a single Model 8<\/a>, the Modern Human race would not exist today. We need to shut down these projects once and for all before it\u2019s to late!<\/p>\n
