Yesterday, Great Britain held a referendum on whether or not it should leave the European Union. This became known as the “British Exit,” or “Brexit for short.

The campaign to Remain in the EU was led by the Conservative Prime Minister, David Cameron. It was also supported by the Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn. However, this was not a straight party line vote. You had both conservatives and Labour ministers on both sides of the issue. There was also a tragic event last week when a nut murdered a pro-Remain Labour minister of Parliament.

Last night the results of the vote came in. Great Britain will be leaving the European Union.

[youtuber youtube=’http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yHNfvJc99YY’]

The results, 52% to leave and 48% to stay shocked pretty much everyone. The polls were close, but many of the pundits were paying more attention to what the bookmakers were saying rather then the pollsters. The bookies got their clocks cleaned last night.

The financial markets, which as of yesterday assumed that the voters would choose to remain in the EU, are in utter chaos this morning. Gold has skyrocketed, the British pound and the Euro are both way down. The Dow Jones futures, what analysts think the American stock market will do, indicate a 600 point drop when it opens.

Britain will not be pulling out tomorrow morning. The Prime Minister will need to start the process and that will take about 2 years. David Cameron, however, won’t be the one to pull the trigger. He has announced he will resign as of October and a new Prime Minister will be selected by the Conservative Party. The money on who that will be is running toward Boris Johnson, who was a major figure in the Brexit movement.

This brings us to the winners and losers in all this. There are quite a few losers and not a few winners. First, we have the big losers:

Prime Minister David Cameron. He bet the house on Remain to win when he decided to hold the referendum. When Brexit took off, he and the others in the Remain group resorted to every dirty trick they could think of. He is now out as Prime Minister and probably out of Parliament as well.

Jeremy Corbyn, the leader of the Labour party. He also backed Remain, although for far different reasons. I make no claims on understanding the British political system, but Corbyn may be invited to seek other opportunities elsewhere in the next year or so.

Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany. She has been a major booster of the European Union and pushed to keep Britain under Germany’s Brussels thumb. Thanks to her policies of throwing open the border to millions of potential Islamic terrorists, she has a some serious issues of her own.

The European Union. With Great Britain pulling the plug, watch for other EU countries that aren’t all that thrilled with how the Mandarins in Brussels have been running things to look into leaving themselves. There are a number of elections coming up in EU countries and it’s a safe bet a few more may decide to say “Bubye now!”

On this side of the Atlantic we have a few losers as well. To begin with:

Barack Hussein Obama, President of the United States. A few months ago, he went to England and basically threatened the British voters, saying that if Great Britain pulled out of the EU, then they would be sent to the bottom of the list with regards to trade. That probably pushed the Brexit vote over the top.

Hillary Rodham Clinton, former Secretary of State, current presidential candidate and probable future convicted felon. She was also pushing the British to remain in the EU. While not as blatant about it as Obama, she is also a major supporter of Globalism. She sees it as a way to further enrich her bank accounts.

Wall Street. These morons bet against Brexit and have lost big time. Without a doubt, the markets are going to be heading for a major correction today as these idiots try to cover their losses.

Next we have a few winners.

Great Britain. The British people have seen just what happens when they hand over their sovereignty to a pack of unelected foreign bureaucrats. Now they have taken their destiny back into their own hands.

Boris Johnson. Former mayor of London and a major force in the Brexit movement. With the Brexit win, he is the odds on favorite to replace David Cameron as Prime Minister in a few months.

Nigel Farage, leader of the United Kingdom Independent Party. (UKIP) He has been a big booster of breaking with the European Union. How this will all play out for UKIP, I can’t say. During the vote yesterday, Farage seemed to be saying that Remain would win. (And he wasn’t happy about it) Now that Brexit is the choice of the people, Farage was seen doing a happy dance all over London this morning.

On this side of the Atlantic, the biggest winner is:

Donald Trump. He also supported Brexit. He has said that under his administration, Great Britain will be at the top of the list with regards to fair trade, not at the bottom where Obama, Clinton and the other Big Government Globalists would put it.

Great Britain will have a couple of rough years ahead as they move to restructure their country from a virtual slave state to the EU back to the free nation it should be.
