Malloy is the perfect Democrat governor. Incompetent, hard left and hates the Constitution of both Connecticut and the United States. He and his cronies in the legislature have all but revoked the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment and have been happily driving businesses out of the state. Now a Federal Grand Jury has been empaneled to look into his campaign spending. Here are the details from Fox News<\/a>:<\/p>\n Connecticut Gov. Dan Malloy, a top Hillary Clinton booster and head of the Democratic Governors Association, returned from a starring role in his party\u2019s national convention to gathering storm clouds back home \u2013 amid a federal investigation into fund raising surrounding his 2014 reelection campaign.<\/b><\/p>\n Have you noticed it\u2019s almost always Democrats who get into trouble with campaign fund raising? Not exclusively of course, but it does seem that the Republicans aren\u2019t being investigated anywhere as much. Maybe they\u2019re better at hiding it? So, what do they think Malloy did?<\/p>\n The Hartford Courant<\/a> first reported that a federal grand jury is being convened to investigate whether the Connecticut Democratic Party broke campaign finance law by illegally using contributions from state contractors to benefit Malloy\u2019s campaign.<\/b><\/p>\n Yeah, that isn\u2019t a great idea. Smacks of taking bribes.<\/p>\n It\u2019s the latest chapter in a controversy that began when Republicans filed a complaint arguing Democrats wrongly funded Malloy mailings with $250,000 from an account that\u2019s allowed under federal law to take state contractor money. Because Malloy chose to accept public financing through the state’s clean elections law, he was not permitted to receive additional donations. <\/b><\/p>\n Oops!<\/p>\n The matter is now causing political headaches for the governor \u2013 who already faces low approval ratings, and grappled earlier this year with the fallout from GE moving its headquarters out of Connecticut \u2013 as state Republicans try to tie the case to other controversies in the headlines.<\/b><\/p>\n I\u2019d forgotten about General Electric saying they have had enough of Connecticut\u2019s massive taxes and regulatory environment. That is a major hit as quite a few high paying jobs will be leaving with them. Then, he and the legislature have a problem with all the gun bans they\u2019ve been enacting.<\/p>\n The laws have basically been designed to confiscate guns and standard capacity magazines. The laws have been openly flouted by gun owners, and police haven\u2019t been all that interested in arresting anyone either.<\/p>\n \u201cThe Connecticut Democratic Party, Gov. Malloy and Hillary Clinton all think there is a political class to which they belong that allows them to play by a different set of rules. They did not admit guilt. They simply said that we do not think we broke the law, so we did not break the law,\u201d JR Romano, spokesman for the Connecticut Republican Party, told FoxNews.com.<\/b><\/p>\n Connecticut Republicans believe the federal investigation and payment of the fine show Democrats simply chose to follow their own rules.<\/b><\/p>\n Of course the democrats follow their own rules. Why do you think we have Hillary Clinton as the Democrat nominee instead of her being under arrest for espionage?<\/p>\n But the state Democratic Party insists it \u201cfully complied\u201d with state and federal laws during the 2014 cycle.<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWe believe this agreement provides a sound framework for dealing with the conflict between state and federal campaign finance laws, and also strengthened a campaign finance system in which both parties operate. In regard to recent action by federal authorities, we have advised authorities of our intent to cooperate and will continue to do so in order to bring this to a close and continue to do the work of our party to elect Democrats on all levels,” Leigh Appleby, Connecticut Democratic Party spokesman, said in a statement to FoxNews.com.<\/b><\/p>\n On July 27, Trumbull, Conn., First Selectman Timothy M. Herbst claimed in a complaint filed<\/a> with the SEEC that the Connecticut State Democratic Party did not properly account for legal fees incurred when Democrats hired lawyer David S. Golub in its defense. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cThe Connecticut Democratic Party paid a $325,000 fine to keep their emails out of public view and the conduct leading to that fine is now being investigated by a federal grand jury to determine if laws were broken,\u201d stated Herbst.<\/b><\/p>\n May I suggest you contact the Russians? They seem to be collecting all the Democrat\u2019s documents and emails. Perhaps for a small fee?<\/p>\n Honestly, the corruption of the Democrat party no longer surprises me. They have been a pack of crooks going back to the days of Boss Tweed<\/a> and Tammany Hall<\/a>. Now we have Hillary Clinton, who sold her office for cash as the Democrat Nominee.
