Good day all. In the 36 hours since Donald Trump became the President-Elect, (Yes, I still get a Chris Mathews tingle up my leg when I say that), and, as I wrote about a while ago<\/a>, the Precious Snowflakes, Barking Moonbats and the rest of the failed Progressives are in full meltdown.<\/p>\n

Within hours of the polls closing and the completeness of the utter and complete collapse of Felonia von Pantsuit\u2019s dreams of looting the treasury, calls started coming out of California to seceded from the United States. Here are the amusing details from Metro UK<\/a>:<\/p>\n

If you\u2019ve looked at the electoral results map, you\u2019ll notice there\u2019s a bit of a stark difference between the red and the blue bits. That massive blue block on the left \u2013 encompassing California, Oregon, Nevada and Washington state \u2013 stands out quite a bit against all of the red. So it may not be a huge surprise that people living in that Democrat-voting block are now looking at other options \u2013 specifically, secession.<\/b><\/p>\n

Since Donald Trump\u2019s electoral victory was first announced, #Calexit has been trending on Twitter, with distraught Californians looking to form their own state.<\/b><\/p>\n

The article goes through about a gazillion tweets regarding California seceding from the union. Someone came up with a legal way to pull it off. The quoted a legal case called Texas v. White<\/a>.<\/p>\n

When Texas became one of the United States, she entered into an indissoluble relation. The union between Texas and the other States was as complete, as perpetual, and as indissoluble as the union between the original States. There was no place for reconsideration or revocation, except through revolution or through consent of the States.<\/b><\/i><\/p>\n

Did you notice that last bit? \u2018Except through revolution or through consent of the States.\u2019<\/b><\/p>\n

Well, that has been tried before. Granted, this is a British web site, but I\u2019m sure they\u2019ve heard of that unpleasant period between 1861 and 1865? It\u2019s commonly referred to as \u201cThe American Civil War\u201d and it didn\u2019t work out to well for the Confederate States of America.<\/p>\n

If enough Californians want it, there\u2019s a chance it could happen.<\/b><\/p>\n

Umm, yeah… no, not really.<\/p>\n

And this is far from the first west coast secession movement in the US \u2013 the Cascadia secessionists have long campaigned for a separate state of Cascadia, which mostly spans the Pacific Northwestern states.<\/b><\/p>\n

You should also look at the Texas Independence movement. I think they have about 100 members. Of course, Texas is unique among the states. It was once an independent nation. Anyway, let\u2019s look at this issue. Say California were to leave the union. What is the first things that are going to happen? How about blackouts and water shortages?<\/p>\n

Say what?<\/p>\n

Yep, thanks to the moonbats in Sacramento, the state capital, California does not have sufficient power generation capacity to take care of their needs. I think they import something like 20% or more of their electricity from other states, like Nevada. If California leaves the United States, that power gets turned off. All the windmills and solar panels on Earth won\u2019t solve those power issues. I’m sure that Silicon Valley will be real thrilled with having to power down their data centers.<\/p>\n

Then there is water. Southern California, for all intents and purposes, is a desert. There isn\u2019t enough fresh water in the region to take care of cities like Los Angeles, and without water, well, people will die slow, horrible deaths. If California pulls out of the union, all those pipelines bringing water in from other states will be turned off.<\/p>\n

\"shocked-face\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Of course, things like facts rarely intrude into the minds of the moonbats in California. They will secede from the United States because it \u201cFeelz\u201d. However, if they think the rest of the country will be upset or angry, they need to think again. The general reaction from most Americans when they are told that California wants to leave is this:<\/p>\n

If you want to go, then go. We\u2019ll just wait a few years, and once you have all died of thirst and starvation, in the dark, we\u2019ll just come back in, clean up the mess, including your dead bodies, and make California Great…Again!!<\/p>\n
