Yes, they ended up suffering from the Gore Effect and nearly froze to death. Here are the always amusing details from the Daily Caller<\/a>:<\/p>\n A small group of global warming activists protesting oil and gas drilling outside the Department of Interior office in Colorado Thursday morning were met with bitter cold weather and snow.<\/b><\/p>\n [youtuber youtube=’http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Gbp_JQ7RxqM’]<\/p>\n About 10 \u201cKeep It In The Ground\u201d activists waved signs next to a busy road in the Denver area, calling for the Obama administration to stop issuing leases so companies can drill on public lands. Activists say drilling only exacerbates global warming. <\/b><\/p>\n I bet they were really hoping for some global warming as their fingers froze off during their protest.<\/p>\n The irony, however, is activists stood outside about 4 inches of snow with temperatures hovering in the 20s \u2014 in degrees Fahrenheit. The official low temperature was negative 10 degrees early Thursday morning, according to the National Weather Service. <\/b><\/p>\n Activists with 350.org and Food & Water Watch braved the cold to protest hydraulic fracturing, or \u201cfracking,\u201d after two measures to restrict the drilling technique failed to make November\u2019s ballot. The pro-fracking Western Energy Alliance took photos of activists trying to stay warm. You can view the photos here<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n Check out the pictures. They are hilarious. Just looking at their faces, with the icicles hanging off their noses, tells me that what few brain cells they have, are frozen solid. You would think they would reschedule their protest when the dangers of hypothermia and frost bite would be less.<\/p>\n \u201cWhile it is clear that the national activist groups behind these efforts are not abandoning their goal to ban fracking, they picked a day to protest the use of fossil fuels when most Coloradans are likely more thankful than ever for the affordable energy provided by domestic energy development,\u201d Randy Hildreth, a writer for the industry-backed, Energy In Depth, wrote in a blog post<\/a>. <\/b><\/p>\n Never underestimate the blind stupidity of a religious fanatic, and that is exactly what the followers of the Church of Global Warming are. Religious fanatics. They refuse to see the facts even when the snowball hits them in the face. Every time these moonbats protest the climate, they get hit with bad weather.<\/p>\n This phenomenon is called the \u201cGore effect\u201d \u2014 coined after a global warming rally held by former Vice President Al Gore<\/a> in 2004 was met with frigid weather. A similar rally held by Gore in 2006 in Australia was also hit by cold weather. <\/b><\/p>\n It\u2019s not just Gore who\u2019s held freezing global warming rallies. Yale anti-fossil fuel campaigners postponed a protest in early 2015<\/a> due to \u201cunfavorable weather conditions and other logistical issues.\u201d New Haven witnessed a negative 9 degrees when the event was canceled. <\/b><\/p>\n And yet, these knotheads keep on protesting.<\/p>\n In 2013, environmental protesters in Washington state were hit with cold weather and snow flurries<\/a> protesting global warming. Activists tried to encourage the crowd that \u201cclimate and weather are two different things,\u201d but words didn\u2019t warm anybody up that day.<\/b><\/p>\n This is another problem with these fools. 20 years ago, it was \u201cMan Made Global Warming\u201d and the earth was going to become just like Venus in 20 years unless we gave Al Gore and his cronies piles of money. When that didn\u2019t happen, they changed it to \u201cMan Made Climate Change\u201d thinking that the rubes wouldn\u2019t notice and continue to send Al Gore piles of money. Bad news, we noticed.<\/p>\n Now, no one believes in this nonsense other than the incredibly stupid and the monumentally gullible. The rest of us?
