The fear level among the bureaucrats at the Energy Department blew through the roof when Trump\u2019s transition team asked for a little bit of information. What information is so bad that the bureaucrats are in abject terror? Here are the details from Politico<\/a>:<\/p>\n Donald Trump\u2019s transition team wants the Energy Department to provide the names of any employees who have worked on President Barack Obama\u2019s climate initiatives \u2014 a request that has current and former staffers fearing an oncoming \u201cwitch hunt.\u201d<\/b><\/p>\n The president-elect\u2019s team sought the information as part of a 74-point questionnaire that also asked for details about how DOE\u2019s statistical arm, the Energy Information Administration, does the math on issues such as the cost-effectiveness of wind and solar power versus fossil fuels. POLITICO obtained the document Friday, after Trump\u2019s advisers sent it to the department earlier in the week. <\/b><\/p>\n I hope all those Energy Dept. Personnel have plenty of brown pants, because I think they\u2019re going to need them.<\/p>\n The questions are just the latest sign that Trump is feeling out ways to undo Obama’s environmental agenda, in which DOE has played a major role through actions such as issuing billions of dollars in loan guarantees to green-energy projects backed by companies such as Google and Tesla. Trump has derided the idea of man-made climate change as a \u201choax,\u201d and he\u2019s announced plans to nominate one of the biggest critics of Obama’s regulations \u2014 Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt \u2014 to lead the Environmental Protection Agency. <\/b><\/p>\n Oh, it isn\u2019t just that nonsense regarding climate change. President Trump is well aware of the billions of dollars wasted on all these phony \u201cGreen Energy\u201d projects. I have a sneaking suspicion that he wants to say his patented, trademarked tag line.<\/p>\n [youtuber youtube=’http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=75SEy1qu71I’]<\/p>\n Coupled with calls by congressional Republicans to relax civil-service protections<\/a> so that it\u2019s easier to fire federal employees, the transition team\u2019s demand that the Energy Department name names has some current and former workers fearing the worst. <\/b><\/p>\n Some of the remarks by these \u201cProfessional Governmental employees\u201d demonstrate just how out of touch they are with what\u2019s happening in America and why Donald Trump was elected.<\/p>\n \u201cSounds like a freaking witch hunt,\u201d one former DOE staffer wrote in an email. <\/b><\/p>\n It is a remarkably aggressive and antagonistic tone to take with an agency that you\u2019re about to try to manage,\u201d a current agency employee said. Another DOE staffer expressed the view that \u201csome [of the questions] are harassment, some are naive, some are legitimate.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWhy is that important for informing the transition team?\u201d the person said of the list of people who worked on climate issues. <\/b><\/p>\n As you would expect, these petty little jerks who have been busy wrecking the lives of actual working Americans ran straight to their bought and paid for Democrat Shills<\/i><\/span> Representatives.<\/p>\n \u201cThe transition team should reconsider these apparent attempts to intimidate Energy Department employees who were simply working to fulfill the climate objectives of the Obama administration,\u201d he wrote. <\/b><\/p>\n Perhaps you might consider proposing some legislation Representative? Oh wait! Your side lost! Your opinion means absolutely bupkis. In case you failed to notice, the American voters have had enough and they want President Trump to start demolishing the Beltway Establishment, and that means all your pals at the various agencies need to get their resumes redone.<\/p>\n Now, what were some of these questions that had all these bureaucrats looking for a supply of Depends<\/a>? Here are a few examples.<\/p>\n Besides requesting specific names, Trump\u2019s transition team directed a series of questions at the department\u2019s Energy Information Administration, including some that appeared to challenge the agency\u2019s ability to keep political bias out of its statistical analysis during Obama\u2019s presidency. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cHow has EIA ensured its independence in your data and analysis over the past 8 years?\u201d one question asks, while requesting examples of instances where \u201cEIA\u2019s independence was most challenged.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n I see a problem here. This is a trick question. These bureaucrats went whole hog into helping Obama and the Democrats trash the freedom and independence of American citizens and basically destroying whole industries, all in the name of their lord, Barack Obama.<\/p>\n Other questions pressed EIA on why it had made certain assumptions about the costs of renewable energy, as well as whether its forecasts had given short shrift to \u201cthe shale gas and oil renaissance.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n To answer the first part, they made those assumptions because it gave them good \u201cFeelz.\u201d As to the second part? The goal was to shut down the all forms of fossil fuels, so they simply ignored the actual facts and made up their own. And now they have to answer for them.<\/p>\n Having been on the receiving end of investigations into science, Penn State University climate scientist Michael Mann \u2014 himself a frequent target of attacks from climate skeptics \u2014 said he found some of the questions worrying. <\/b><\/p>\n “Normally I would … withhold judgment, supposing for the time-being that this could just be legitimate information-gathering. However, this latest revelation hardly exists in a vacuum,” he wrote in an email, referring to the role of prominent climate skeptics on Trump\u2019s EPA transition team.<\/strong><\/p>\n Hey Mikey! Nevertheless, Halpern said, \u201cWe elected a president and not a dictator. He can\u2019t just come and destroy entire departments by executive fiat.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n You are correct, which is why Congress will also be getting involved. It will take legislation to rip the guts out of these unelected bureaucracies. I think one big target for the Energy Department, as well as most of the other alphabet soup of agencies is stripping them of any law enforcement authority and dismantling their SWAT teams.
