Here\u2019s the latest idiocy from Salon<\/a>:<\/p>\n This article originally appeared on AlterNet<\/a>.<\/b><\/em> <\/b><\/p>\n More than 50 Electoral College members who voted for Donald Trump were ineligible to serve as presidential electors because they did not live in the congressional districts they represented or held elective office in states legally barring dual officeholders. <\/b><\/p>\n That stunning finding is among the conclusions of an extensive 1,000-plus page legal briefing<\/a> prepared by a bipartisan nationwide legal team for members of Congress who are being urged to object to certifying the 2016 Electoral College results on Friday. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cTrump\u2019s ascension to the presidency is completely illegitimate,\u201d said Ryan Clayton of Americans Take Action, who is promoting the effort. \u201cIt\u2019s not just Russians hacking our democracy. It\u2019s not just voter suppression at unprecedented levels. It is also [that] there are Republicans illegally casting ballots in the Electoral College, and in a sufficient number that the results of the Electoral College proceedings are illegitimate as well.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cRepublicans like to talk all the time about people voting illegally,\u201d Clayton continued. \u201cWe have a list of a bunch of Republicans that allegedly voted illegally in the Electoral College. Pam Bondi is the attorney general of the state of Florida and the Florida Constitution says that you cannot hold two offices. And she holds the office of Attorney General and she holds the office of federal elector in the Electoral College. That is a violation of the law. That is a violation of the Constitution. And the vote that she cast in this election is illegal.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n I can\u2019t find out anything about this Ryan Clayton. His name is a bit to generic. What I have found indicates he should not be allowed out of the house, or anywhere near a computer without adult supervision. Just what he wants congress to do is idiocy on it\u2019s face.<\/p>\n Clayton is hoping that sufficient numbers of Republicans in Congress will not vote to ratify the Electoral College results, thus depriving Trump of the 270 Electoral College votes he needs to win the presidency. If that transpires, the House would then decide between the three top Electoral College vote-getters\u2014Trump, Hillary Clinton and Colin Powell, he said. But before any of that can happen, there needs to be a formal challenge to ratifying the 2016 Electoral College results in Friday\u2019s joint session of Congress, which is where the research finding that scores of Trump votes were illegally cast comes in. <\/b><\/p>\n First, can forget about the Republicans taking the election away from Donald Trump and giving it to Felonia von Pantsuit. It isn\u2019t going to happen. As for Colin Powell? He got three votes from a faithless electors and isn\u2019t interested in the office.<\/p>\n The next problem is one Moonbats such as yourself fail to consider. That would be how the peope who voted for Trump would respond to your stealing the election from them. Just for the sake of argument, assume that your wish comes true and the Congress takes the presidency away from Trump and gives it to Felonia von Pantsuit, aka Hillary Rodham Clinton. Would you care to hazard a guess what happens next?<\/p>\n No? Allow me to tell you. It would mean instant civil war. I\u2019m not talking about protests and rioting that your side did after Felonia\u2019s crushing defeat, I\u2019m talking about actual shooting occurring. The odds are that Felonia would not take office due to sudden, copper jacked lead induced death. It wouldn\u2019t stop there either. Every member of congress who shiv\u2019ed Donald Trump would be assassinated and in very short order. Worse, all the law enforcement people, Secret Service, etc who tried to protect them would be torn to shreds.<\/p>\n Next, since the ball is rolling, you would see literal death squads going after, well, you Mr. Clayton. You would also, (well you probably wouldn\u2019t by then), see the destruction of the \u201cMain Stream Media, and then assorted state and city governments. After that, or more than likely, while this is going on, others are going to go into the colleges and universities and, to put it bluntly, clean house. Thankfully, this will not be happening.<\/p>\n Your pathetic attempt, like all the pathetic attempts by the Progressives, Moonbats, Social Justice Warriors, etc, is going to fail. Your \u201creport\u201d should be put in the fiction section since it has no basis in reality.
