On the heels of Donald Trump\u2019s confirmation as the next President of the United States, we have an interesting development in Ohio. The GOP State Chairman, who tried to sandbag Trump during the general election, was booted from his position.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-22903\" src=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator-300x206.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"206\" srcset=\"https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator-300x206.jpg 300w, https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/trumpinator.jpg 320w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The now former head of the Ohio State Republican party, Matt Broges, was a major supporter of Governor John Kasich. He supported Kasich\u2019s run in the primary, (Wich would be expected), however, after Trump won the nomination, instead of throwing all his support and resources to aid Trump, he sandbagged him. Now he\u2019s been removed from his position. Here are the detail from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/news\/2017\/jan\/6\/trump-gets-payback-against-gov-kasich-ouster-matt-\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Washington Times<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\">Donald Trump<\/a> got some political payback Friday against Gov. John Kasich after the chairman of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/ohio-republican-party\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ohio Republican party<\/a> was ousted in favor of the president-elect\u2019s preferred pick. <\/b><b>The Ohio State GOP\u2019s central committee replaced Matt Borges, a top Kasich ally, with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/jane-timken\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jane Timken<\/a> after <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Trump<\/a> lobbied members on her behalf, according to Cleveland.com. <\/b><\/p>\n<p>This has to really stick in Kasich\u2019s craw, but why he would expect any different is beyond me. Trump does not forgive and forget when people try to knife him in the back.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>Mr. Kasich refused to endorse <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\">Mr. Trump<\/a> in the presidential race and skipped the Republican National Convention in his home state of Ohio, signaling his displeasure with the New York billionaire. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JW-Lifes-tough.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-17310\" src=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JW-Lifes-tough-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"169\" srcset=\"https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JW-Lifes-tough-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JW-Lifes-tough-500x281.jpg 500w, https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/02\/JW-Lifes-tough.jpg 640w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><b>For his part, Mr. Borges also was lukewarm about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\">Mr. Trump<\/a>\u2019s candidacy.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s putting it mildly to say the least. One of the reasons for Borges removal involved the attempted coup last October when the news about Trump\u2019s remarks 11 years ago with regards to women was leaked as an attempted &#8220;October Surprise&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Borges, while not outright pulling his support for Trump last October, but was just fine with others like John Kasich saying they wouldn\u2019t support Trump under any circumstances. Well, what goes around, comes around, eh Matt? You may have thought all your work in Ohio would protect you, but you demonstrated that you couldn\u2019t be trusted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>The GOP had enjoyed a series of electoral triumphs since Mr. Kasich helped move Mr. Borges into the chairmanship in 2013 \u2014 fueling speculation that he could escape punishment from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Trump<\/a>. That was not the case, as <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\">Mr. Trump<\/a>\u2019s support for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.washingtontimes.com\/topics\/jane-timken\/\" target=\"_blank\">Ms. Timken<\/a>, vice chair of the Stark County GOP, was seen as a way to get revenge against Mr. Kasich.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/seen-coming.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-22259\" src=\"http:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/seen-coming-242x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"242\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/seen-coming-242x300.jpg 242w, https:\/\/angry.net\/blog2\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/seen-coming.jpg 400w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 242px) 100vw, 242px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\u201c<b>I couldn\u2019t have imagined the up and downs and wildness of it all when I was first elected by this body in 2013,\u201d Mr. Borges said after the vote. \u201cWhen you think about the statewide sweep in 2014, bringing the convention to Ohio for the first time in 80 years, hosting the first Republican debate, and then a statewide sweep again in 2016, I don\u2019t know how I could have put any more of my heart and soul into succeeding and making sure that we elected Republicans and we moved this state and country in the right direction.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s the problem. While you were quite good at getting a bunch of down ticket Republicans elected, you were also quietly trying to throw the presidential election into the House of Representatives in hopes that they would choose Kasich or some other RINO member of the GOP(e).
