This has set off the Progressives, Liberals and Democrats, (But I repeat myself), who are now in full screech mode. The reason for this is Sessions has a long history of upholding the law and not playing favorites. He\u2019s also a proven competent administrator, and won\u2019t tolerate the politicization of the Department of Justice. In other words, he\u2019s going to clean house and get rid of all the racist garbage put in place by Eric Holder and left there by Loretta Lynch.<\/p>\n
Since Senator Sessions has a history of upholding the Rule of Law, certain people, not noted for following the law, are taking exception to his nomination. One of these is Al Sharpton. Here are the details from PJMedia<\/a>:<\/p>\n National Action Network president Rev. Al Sharpton promised a \u201cseason of civil disobedience\u201d in reaction to the nomination of Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-Ala.) for attorney general in the Trump administration. <\/b><\/p>\n Sharpton, an MSNBC host, said activists have planned a march in Washington on Jan. 14 during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend to protest the Sessions nomination. Sharpton recalled spending 90 days in jail for protesting on U.S. Navy land against military exercises on the island of Vieques in 2001 when George W. Bush was president, adding that civil disobedience usually works because it changes policy. <\/b><\/p>\n Sharpton seems to be under the impression that President Trump will put up with Sharpton\u2019s usual crap. I suspect he\u2019s going to be quickly disabused of that notion.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not just doing this to be doing it.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n Actually, yes you are.<\/p>\n \u201cWe do it because it can lead to change and, believe me, there will be a season of civil disobedience particularly around the Sessions nomination,\u201d he said Friday on a conference call with other civil rights organizations\u2019 leaders such as Cornell William Brooks, president and CEO of the NAACP, and Janet Murguia, president and CEO of the National Council of La Raza. <\/b><\/p>\n Let\u2019s start with La Raza, shall we? Do you know what \u201cLa Raza\u201d translates into? If you read Spanish, you already do. For those of us who do not, I ran it through Google\u2019s translate app. It comes back as \u201cThe Race.\u201d<\/p>\n La Raza\u2019s goal is taking over the Southwest United States and expelling anyone who isn\u2019t Mexican or Hispanic. They call this \u201cReconquesta\u201d under the idea that they are going to \u201cTake back what was stolen from them.\u201d Although they deny it, they are just as bad in their philosophy as the Nazi\u2019s.<\/p>\n Next we have the NAACP, (National Association for the Advancement of Colored People). A once fine organization that did great work. The only problem is, they pretty much succeeded and have since become utterly irrelevant. In point of fact, they have become everything they spent decades fighting against.<\/p>\n Sharpton offered a preview of the mass march, explaining that activists plan to outline their intent to visit senators\u2019 offices and make some house calls to \u201cmake them understand\u201d they will be held accountable for voting in favor of Sessions, whose confirmation hearings in the Senate Judiciary Committee are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday. <\/b><\/p>\n By who? You? Don\u2019t make me laugh.<\/p>\n \u201cMake them understand that if they think they are voting based on some courtesy of a Senate colleague and will not face a real backlash in their own states, then they have another thing coming. This is not going to be some regular ceremonial procedure that they\u2019re going to be able to bluff their way through,\u201d he said. <\/b><\/p>\n Obviously, someone wasn\u2019t paying any attention to the recent election. People have been watching all those groups you\u2019ve been supporting, such as Black Lives, (And no one elses), Matter, aka \u201cThe Klan with a Tan,\u201d not to mention the riots and damages caused by them.<\/p>\n Then we have the ambush murders of police by Sharpton\u2019s favored constituency, Armed felons of recent African decent. People of all backgrounds, skin tones, eye shapes, etc have had enough of these, for lack of a better term, vermin. The recent kidnapping and torture of a young adult with special needs by a pack of black racist scum might just be the straw that breaks Sharpton\u2019s bank account.<\/p>\n \u201cWe intend to make this a critical stand in terms of where people are with civil rights and voting rights in this country. No one will be given a pass to say \u2018I had to vote for my colleague.\u2019 This is an affront to everything the civil rights and voting rights community has stood for historically and a vote for Sessions should be held accountable and punishable by the voters,\u201d he added. <\/b><\/p>\n Al Sharpton is irrelevant and he\u2019s figuring that out. He likes to issue threats, but the only one who may feel threatened is Al Sharpton. As far as I know, he hasn\u2019t cleared up that rather large tax liability issue he\u2019s had for years. Perhaps he\u2019s feeling some heat and knows that if Sessions is confirmed, his game, along with the others in the Professional Civil Rights Movement, (as opposed to those who actually care about civil rights), is over.<\/p>\n Sharpton should be facing a grand jury for some of the things he\u2019s done, but he\u2019s been getting a pass for decades, and now he\u2019s about to see his \u201cHall pass\u201d canceled.
