Recently, Howard \u201cThe Screamer\u201d Dean sent out a tweet demonstrating his complete ignorance of the 1st<\/sup> Amendment. The tweet read:<\/p>\n Hate speech is not protected by the first amendment. https:\/\/t.co\/DOct3xcLoY<\/strong><\/p>\n The Screamer sent this out on April 21st<\/sup>. Dean the Screamer is a former head of the DNC and a stereotypical Progressive Liberal Fascist Democrat. Eugene Volokh<\/a>, in a column in the Washington (Com)Post<\/a>,<\/b> took him to task:<\/p>\n This leads me to repeat what I\u2019ve said before: There is no hate speech exception to the First Amendment. Hateful ideas (whatever exactly that might mean) are just as protected under the First Amendment as other ideas. One is as free to condemn, for instance, Islam \u2014 or Muslims, or Jews, or blacks, or whites, or illegal immigrants, or native-born citizens \u2014 as one is to condemn capitalism or socialism or Democrats or Republicans. <\/b><\/p>\n Mr. Volokh is a law professor at the University of California, Los Angeles, and unlike The Screamer, knows what he\u2019s talking about.<\/p>\n To be sure, there are some kinds of speech that are unprotected by the First Amendment. But those narrow exceptions have nothing to do with \u201chate speech\u201d in any conventionally used sense of the term. For instance, there is an exception for \u201cfighting words\u201d \u2014 face-to-face personal insults addressed to a specific person, of the sort that are likely to start an immediate fight. But this exception isn\u2019t limited to racial or religious insults, nor does it cover all racially or religiously offensive statements. <\/b><\/p>\n Basically, what the good professor is saying, you can\u2019t yell \u201cFIRE!\u201d in a crowded theater with the goal of causing a panic. The \u201cFighting words\u201d doctrine is also geared at a \u201cOne on one\u201d scenario. What Dean the Screamer and the other moonbats want to do is punish people for saying things they don\u2019t agree with.<\/p>\n And there is the issue. The Progressives have run out of things to say to bolster their views and have turned to insults and violence. (See the anti-Trump protests by the thugs of the Antifa groups) The conservative groups are winning the arguments because they actually have ideas and, unlike progressives, are capable of logical thought.<\/p>\n The only recourse left to \u201cThe Left\u201d is blatant censorship. In the last election, we had on candidate, Felonia von Pantsuit, aka Hillary Clinton, state, on the record, that she would have a litmus test for judges and supreme court justices that would move to limit the 1st<\/sup> Amendment. (She also wanted the 2nd<\/sup> Amendment revoked as well by judicial fiat)<\/p>\n The Democrat party long ago walked away from the Constitution. They never supported the Civil Rights movement in the 60\u2019s until it could be used for their own benefit. The Democrats also started a civil war just so they could keep black in slavery. President Woodrow Wilson, a Democrat, utterly despised the Constitution and wanted to do away with it completely.<\/p>\n This is what the Democrat party truly is. Backers of enslavement, totalitarian power vested in the few, and suppression of any ideas that they do not like. They have shown that they will resort to violence if they don\u2019t get their way. Previously, the center and center right would fold because they didn\u2019t want to resort to violence. Now, much to the shock of people like Howard \u201cThe Screamer\u201d Dean, the center and the right have decided the time has come to take the gloves off.
