This law has driven the Progressive Liberal Democrats absolutely nuts. Yesterday, during a session in the Texas House of Representatives, a group of protesters, many claiming they were in the United States illegally, stormed in and began the usual Progressive method of indicating their displeasure with the new law. By ranting, raving and generally interfering with everyone else who didn\u2019t agree with them.<\/p>\n
One member of the house decided enough was enough and took the protesters at their word. (Claiming they were illegal aliens) He called in ICE to arrest them and, if they were illegals, kick them out of the country. This caused another member of the House, a Progressive Democrat, (Yeah, big surprise), to threaten to kill the Republican member. Here are some of the details from Fox News<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n Protests erupted in the Texas capitol building on Monday over Gov. Greg Abbott\u2019s new law cracking down on \u2018sanctuary cities,\u2019 interrupting the final day in this year\u2019s regular session of the Texas Legislature. Hundreds of protesters chanted in opposition to the new law, forcing House leadership to stop the session and send state troopers to clear the gallery. <\/b><\/p>\n You ever notice that it\u2019s only the Progressive Liberal Democrats who resort to these sorts of demonstrations? I may have a faulty memory, but I can\u2019t recall the last time a Republican group came in and started a near riot in a legislative assembly.<\/p>\n Some protesters held banners that said, \u201cSee you in court\u201d and \u201cSee you at the polls,\u201d while others chanted \u201cHey, hey. Ho, ho. SB-4 has got to go.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n Oh how original. I wonder how much Soros paid for this Rent-a-Mob? You would think that he could come up with a slogan that was less than 40 years old. (The original went Hey, hey, ho, ho, Johnson has got to go. Referring to then president Johnson)<\/p>\n The demonstration continued for about 20 minutes as officers led people out of the chamber peacefully in small groups. There were no reports of arrests. <\/b><\/p>\n Well, if they obey police, left when told to and otherwise conducted themselves with in the law, I don\u2019t see any reason to arrest them. Finally though, one state rep had enough of these idiots. According to The Texas Tribune<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n State Rep. Matt Rinaldi<\/a>, R-Irving, said he called U.S Immigration and Customs Enforcement while hundreds of people dressed in red T-shirts unfurled banners and chanted in opposition to the state\u2019s new sanctuary cities law. His action enraged Hispanic legislators nearby, leading to a tussle in which each side accused the other of threats and violence.<\/strong><\/p>\n In a statement, Rinaldi said state Rep. Poncho Nev\u00e1rez<\/a>, D-Eagle Pass, “threatened my life on the House floor,” and that Rinaldi is currently under the protection of the Department of Public Safety as a result. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cI was pushed, jostled and someone threatened to kill me,\u201d Rinaldi said. \u201cIt was basically just bullying.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n Nice going Nevarez. Didn\u2019t anyone tell you that it\u2019s not a good idea to make threats of violence against someone in Texas? Aside from being illegal, it can also get you shot. However, I suspect that Representative Rinaldi would prefer to not go that route if he doesn\u2019t have to.<\/p>\n Nev\u00e1rez said in an interview with the Tribune that he put his hands on Rinaldi and told him to take his argument outside the House chamber. “But was I going to shoot the guy? No,” he said. <\/b><\/p>\n Well of course he\u2019s going to deny it. He committed a felony by making that threat. Now the question is, did he actually do it? I haven\u2019t seen any video or audio on this as yet. Still, it is something that a Progressive Liberal Democrat would say, considering recent history.<\/p>\n House Democrats involved in the altercation said that wasn\u2019t the case and that they were simply cheering on members of the public who were exercising their First Amendment rights. It was Rinaldi who caused the scuffle on the floor, they argued.<\/strong><\/p>\n “Matt Rinaldi gave the perfect example of why there’s a problem with SB 4,” said state Rep. Ramon Romero<\/a>, D-Fort Worth. “Matt Rinaldi looked into the gallery and saw Hispanic people and automatically assumed they were undocumented. He racially profiled every single person that was in the gallery today. He created the scenario that so many of us fear.” <\/b><\/p>\n Excuse me? If someone is either holding up a sign, or shouting out that they are criminals, I\u2019m going to take them at their word, call proper authorities, explain what I\u2019m seeing and hearing, and let them deal with it. As for the rioters<\/i><\/span> protesters? They seem to have a small problem understanding that things have changed.<\/p>\n Asked if the protest was too little, too late since the measure has already been signed into law, Adrian Reyna, an organizer with United We Dream, said the movement is just getting started. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWe have to show resistance the whole summer,\u201d he said. \u201cWe have identified key representatives that we will take out of office who voted for SB 4. People are outraged, people are tired of the Legislature walking all over people.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n As far as I know, the only people \u201cOutraged\u201d over SB 4 are those directly affected by it. Illegal aliens and government authorities refusing to enforce laws on the books. Most people, and by that I mean at least 60+ percent, are all in favor of throwing elected officials who are aiding and abetting criminal activities into jail.<\/p>\n If Navarez did assault and threaten the life Rinaldi, then he should be expelled from the Texas state legislature and prosecuted to the maximum extent of the law.
