Most of these so called \u201cSanctuary Cities,\u201d which actively protect criminals in the United States illegally, are elected Democrats. They have refused to aid ICE in removing these criminals, and we\u2019ve seen the results of their obstinance. These criminals are released and then go on to rob, rape and murder American citizens and lawful resident aliens. Many people are fed up with this and are demanding that these \u201cLeaders\u201d be dealt with. Here are the details from the Washington Times<\/b><\/a>:<\/p>\n The country\u2019s top immigration enforcement officer says he is looking into charging sanctuary city leaders with violating federal anti-smuggling laws because he is fed up with local officials putting their communities and his officers at risk by releasing illegal immigrants from jail. <\/b><\/p>\n Thomas Homan<\/a>, the acting director of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, also told Americans to expect more work site enforcement targeting unscrupulous employers and more 287(g) agreements with willing police and sheriff\u2019s departments that want to help get illegal immigrants off their streets. Eventually, he said, ICE will break the deportation records of 409,849 migrants set in 2012 under President Obama. <\/b><\/p>\n Wait a minute? We deported 400K illegals under Obama? How the hell did that happen??<\/p>\n Mr. Homan<\/a> is the spear tip of President Trump<\/a>\u2019s effort to step up immigration enforcement \u2014 perhaps the largest swing in attitude for any agency in government from the last administration to the current one. <\/b>Agents and officers have been unshackled from the limits imposed by Mr. Obama, whose rules restricted arrests to less than 20 percent of the estimated illegal immigrant population. <\/b><\/p>\n Now that ICE has been allowed to take the gloves off, there have been some problems.<\/p>\n Migrants are increasingly refusing to open doors for his officers and, when they do, the encounters are turning violent, Mr. Homan<\/a> said. Use-of-force instances are up about 150 percent, and assaults on ICE officers are up about 40 percent, he said. <\/b><\/p>\n The next problem is local officials refusing to enforce the laws.<\/p>\n Local officials are also pushing back, declaring themselves sanctuaries and enacting policies that block their law enforcement officers from cooperating with ICE. The refusals range from declining to hold migrants beyond their regular release time to refusing all communication \u2014 even notifying ICE when a criminal deportable alien is about to be released into the community. <\/b><\/p>\n And the upshot is that these criminals are being turned loose on the public with the expected results. Increased crime.<\/p>\n For Mr. Homan<\/a>, who came up through the ranks of the Border Patrol and then ICE as a sworn law enforcement officer, that sort of resistance is enraging. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cShame on people that want to put politics ahead of officer safety, community safety,\u201d he said. <\/b><\/p>\n The problem, Mr. Homan, is that the \u201cLocal leaders\u201d see these criminals as a source of votes for them. Never mind that they have no right to vote. They\u2019re also counted in the census every ten years so that the Democrats can use them to further rig elections.<\/p>\n Sanctuaries say that cooperating with ICE frightens immigrants \u2014 both legal and illegal \u2014 and makes them less likely to report other crimes. They say that is a bigger threat to public safety than crimes committed by illegal immigrants. <\/b><\/p>\n Legal resident aliens do not have a problem unless they break the law. All they need to do is show their green cards. The truth of the matter is, lawful resident aliens despise illegal aliens. I speak from personal experience on how hard lawful immigrants work to come to the United States. Anyone who just skips over the border? They need to be shipped out asap. One problem is our corrupt judiciary.<\/p>\n The Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court this week issued a ruling that law enforcement cannot hold migrants for pickup by ICE beyond their normal release times. That effectively forbids police from complying with detainer requests, which ask local authorities to hold targets for up to 48 hours.<\/strong><\/p>\n Once again, Masshole judges have decided that they are the ones who decide what the law is. The contempt for the Constitution and the Rule of law, not to mention the safety of Americans and lawful resident aliens by the Massachusetts Judiciary is well known. This is why they are considered to be the laughingstock of all the courts in the United States.<\/p>\n Mr. Homan<\/a> said one officer in a jail can process 10 people a day, but once someone is released, it takes a whole team of officers to track down and arrest the person in the community \u2014 where interaction is more dangerous for all sides. That has helped fuel the spike in violent encounters that Mr. Homan<\/a> highlighted in the interview. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIt\u2019s a matter of time before one of my officers is seriously hurt or doesn\u2019t go home because someone made a political decision on the backs of my officers,\u201d he said. <\/b><\/p>\n You don\u2019t think that these judges and city leaders care do you? They don\u2019t. However, Mr. Homan has a solution to this problem.<\/p>\n But he said he won\u2019t be chased out of \u201csanctuaries\u201d and pointedly raised a section of federal code \u2014 8 U.S.C. 1324<\/a> \u2014 that outlaws attempts to \u201cconceal, harbor or shield\u201d illegal immigrants. <\/b><\/p>\n If Mr. Homan, working with the Department of Justice, decides to go after some of these Proglodytes, they are looking at a minimum of 5 years in a federal prison, and it won\u2019t be one of the country club prisons either.<\/p>\n Asked whether that means he will recommend prosecutions, he said, \u201cWe\u2019re looking at what options we have.\u201d <\/b><\/p>\n Oh please! Please! Throw some of these Progressive vermin into prison!! In any case, here\u2019s another problem that the Proglodytes aren\u2019t considering. What happens when ICE, rather then picking someone up in the local jail, has to go searching for them.<\/p>\n Mr. Homan<\/a> said refusing to cooperate is counterproductive for sanctuary cities, whose goal is to protect illegal immigrants from deportation. He said if his agents have to knock on doors in the community, then thy are likely to encounter still more illegal immigrants to round up. <\/b><\/p>\n \u201cIf I arrest a bad guy in the jail, I arrest him. But if I go to his home or his place of employment and arrest the bad guy, and there\u2019s five guys with him? They\u2019re going to come too,\u201d the chief said. <\/b><\/p>\n Indeed, those kinds of arrests have stirred anger among advocacy groups, which say \u201ccollateral\u201d arrests are hurting immigrant communities. <\/b><\/p>\n You mean collateral in rounding up more criminals?
